Ethernet adapter that's built right

Since most new laptops and 2 in 1's come without an Ethernet port these days, I went through quite a few cheap one's over the past few years.
Platinum Ethernet adapter is different in many ways.
- It is very well built, with metal casing, and thick solid cable and a
Strong USB 3 jack,
- It is a Giga Bit Ethernet adapter which means it works with high
Speed data transfer.
- It is USB 3 which is faster.
- It is of course plug and play, meaning there is no need for any
Drivers to be installed.
- It fits in any laptop bag no matter how small it is.
- This brand is backed up by BestBuy and it has a life time warranty.

I needed a new tablet to use for media watching, quick Teamviewer remote access when am on the fly, and for GSuite use to collaborate on projects.
This tablet met all my needs and more!
- the screen is big enough to be close to a laptop or a 2 in 1
- the resolution of the screen is amazing
- the multitouch is super responsive (what you'd expect from a high end tablet like this).
- processing is very fast and the 6 GB memory has a lot to do with this.
- the S pen included is wonderful and so easy to use for notes, and work projects, and to use instead of your finger as well.
- the magnet holder of the pen is strong enough to hold it in place
- the design and color of the tablet are very professional and slim so it can fit in with a laptop bag with ease.
- its not as loaded with bloatware as you might think, and the Android 9 version on the tablet is close to Pure android.
- the sound of this tablet is AMAZING with 4 speakers total (2 on each side of the tablet).
- The tablet has a USB type C port to use for charging, data transfer to other devices, and for using as a headphone port since there is no headphone jack.
- battery life is decent when using, and it drops about 30% every 24 hours when not using it. the tablet also charges the S Pen when the pen is connected to the tablet.
- the software and apps are what you would expect from an Android 9 device.
This tablet met all my needs and more!

This review is for GE - 125 Can / 31 Bottle Beverage and Wine Center - Stainless steel.
First of all let me tell you why this is an EXPENSIVE beverage cooler. the answer is simple: This is a cooler that is designed to be used in a cabinet or as part of you storage. meaning, it does NOT require any space between the actual cooler and the wall or cabinet.
It is designed to fit into cabinets with Zero space between the back, the sides, and the wall.
What a design like this requires, is a system that does not need ventilation and does not over heat. and the cooler meets both requirements flawlessly.
Finally, this cooler is Silent, like always silent. no buzzing, no humming, no sounds at all (except for the first 12 hours after installation and the initial cooling period).
The door hinges can be swapped to change the opening from right to left & vice versa.
The cooler has a light that can be either always on or always off.
the least temperature i could set for the cooler is 41 degrees Fahrenheit. which is great for all sort of drinks.
This cooler is a home run, it keeps my drinks cool at the desired degree, you cannot hear it, its always cool on the outside and it doesn't get warm or hot on the outer sides, and its well designed and built.

Nanoleaf starter kit has great potential and it can create something very beautiful, but comes with a hefty price if you want to add to the starter kit.
the Kit comes with 9 plastic panels and enough connectors and 3m stickers to install on a wall.
the 9 panels are not enough to create anything, I went to try to create the letter K and this is the best I could do with the current panel quantity and the way the panels have the connectors on. each panel has 3 connectors to hook to other panels or to the power adapter which can be connected to any panel, and not necessarily to the main panel that has the power.

the scene creation is easy and fun, the kids and the cats loved the changing themes when played with music.

panels are also very responsive to touch and multi touch gestures. they can also be set to play specific scenes on a schedule that you can create and control using the app.

summary: Nanoleaf is a great addition to my home and it is definitely a conversation starter when you have people over. my cats are still amazed by it although its been a week so far.

Beside not having a Micro SD card in the box, this Alexa enabled Dashcam is near perfect.

setup
first you need to charge the camera for 2 hours
then you need to find a suitable position in your car and run the wire and hide it using the fitting tool and connect the dashcam.
Remember that you have to separately purchase a micro SD card as the camera wont work or install updates without it.
download the NextBase dashcam app to your phone (IOS, or Android)
Install latest firmware, then install and setup the device on Alexa app and you are ready.
the dashcam itself has a high resolution touch screen which allows you to access different features from setting up date and time to recording resolution and length, to other features like parking sensor (if you have a rear cam connected), to accident detection and reporting.
the lens of the dashcam has a polarizing feature that allows you to control the glare from the windshield and reduce it.
the dashcam is very responsive and the quality of the recording is really good. up to 1080 @ 30 fps.
Using Alexa was also easy and responsive as usual. I have a Garmin Plus in my other car that has Alexa as well and I couldn't tell any difference in response.
you can setup the dashcam to auto off to avoid draining the car battery, you can also easily activate parking mode so the dashcam would record only when it detects movement close to the car.
in case of an accident or for any reason you like there is a big button on the dashcam that you can click to save the last video taken and easily download to your phone afterwards.
there is also a feature where the dashcam would send an SOS with coordinates when it senses an accident and NO RESPONSE from the driver or the people in the car.
Like other dashcams, this on can time stamp a lot of things on the footage recorded like date and time, speed, and GPS coordinates.

I'm (40) and grew up while we had an old Hoover which was still working when I left home at 20 years old. When I saw there was a new generation hand Hoover I decided to try the cordless hand Vacuum.
The design is nice and its well built so am going to address the cons and pros below:
Pros
- you know it will last because of the name.
- its sturdy
- it has a powerful motor
- the dirt cup is easy to clean, and rince if you needed to.
- the battery is a 2 amp Lithium Ion battery, so it will keep its juice for long and will work for a long time before it starts to die.
- the battery has a button with lights that shows the battery level when pressed once.
Cons
- this thing is heavy
- its pricy compared to something very similar in power like the Black & Decker hand held vaccum
- Although its not a deal breaker for me, it doesn't have a Hepa filter.
- I dont like the fact that i have to ditach the battery to charge it.
- its a noisy as its powerful, more work on sound proofing could've been a huge advantage.
- with a hefty price for a hand held, you expect it would be made somewhere else but its made in China.

the Sonic- Fusion from waterpik is a great combo for people who like the concept of water flossing but they want to save space at the same time.
This brush is a strong electric brush that is chargeable and also can be used to floss if attached to the main unit that houses water enough for 60 seconds of flossing.
It has the ability of brushing and flossing at the same time, but this feature makes no sense since the water will be filling your mouth and you can't really brush in that case because you will make a mess of yourself.
the best way to use it is to brush and spit, then to floss with the pressure that is to your liking (it can be set from gentle to hard).
after I brush i use the flosser and whenever my mouth filled with water I spit it and continue flossing.
the brush comes with a travel case that fits the brush and 2 brush heads. you can not use the floss feature if the brush is not attached to the base via the water pipe.
a couple things i didn't like are the fact that the brush isn't firmly set in place on the base and you need to be careful when placing it there, and the second thing is that the flossing pipe felt a little short for me (am 6.2 and the basin height is normal, but I had to lean just a bit to use the flosser).
another thing really bugged me is that at a price of $150 you would expect at least a couple brushing heads for you and another person, or a spare head. but no, it came with only one forcing me to buy another one if I wanted to get rid of other brushes regular or electric for my spouse.

The JVC - HA S35BT Wireless On-Ear Headphones are not impressive at all. for this price range you can get something with better sound quality and more comfortable:
Pros:
- You can use Google assistant, and Alexa, and Siri with your JVC headphones.
- you can answer phone calls.
- sound volume is OK, not great but OK.
- not expensive, but you can definitly get better quality for $49.99
- Battery life is good
- control buttons are placed well to use without taking the headphone off of your head.
Cons:
- the headphone head rest is not comfortable at all, its not padded and after a while you will feel pain where the headphone rests on your head.
- Pairing with your phone is easy.
- They use micro USB port for charging, it should have a USB C instead, also, the charging port doesn't have a rubber cover to protect it from stuff going inside of it.
- the bass quality is not good at all when you hit the Power/ Bass button to boost the bass.
- it didn't come with a protective case.
- it doesn't fold for easy and compact storage.
- its not flimsy but again not flexible enough to avoid braking if thrown in a back pack.
- doesn't have headphone jack if you needed to use them without the wireless function.
- These headphones will be UNCOMFORTABLE if you have a slightly big head.

This player almost has it all!
- build quality is amazing and this thing is heavy!
- it has Dolby Atmos, HDR10, upscaling image quality to 4K
- it has anti vibration technology to offer crisper sound, even when the disc is in ther is almost no spinning sound, or fan sound. this thing is sound proof!
- the response rate of this player is very very good, almost no delay at all when loading a disc.
- you can play from a USB, or a disc, or from a very few streaming services (that's why the 4 stars rating).
- it has wifi capability that connected with no issues, and streaming via wifi is decent but you can always go with Ethernet and never miss a thing.
- it comes with 2 gift discs (Jumanji & spiderman into the spoider verse. the discs also have digital codes for the movies to be saved in your library if you want to.
- the player has Bluetooth built in and can be used with BT headphones or to connect to a sound bar.
- if you have an HDR 10, and Dolby Atmos 4K TV like I do, you will need to buy an HDMI2 cable to get the most out of your devices.

Setup was very easy and fast: you download the app on your mobile device and you could have access to photos from all your social media in addition to the gallery of the mobile phone.
Battery life could be better, but I was able to take a few photos and to print 10 pictures before he battery died. charging takes about 30 minutes if you are using a fast charger.
the charging port is Micro USB (i wonder why they didn't use i USB- C port).
picture quality is good, and the camera has flash, and a mirror surrounding the lens for taking selfies.
the camera looks sturdy, and the grip is good.

The Lorex security camera is a great option for affordable Indoor home security camera that packs a lot of features:

Setup:
- I unpacked the camera, connected it to the power adapter, waited until the led light on the camera turned to solid green per the instructions, downloaded the Lorex home app, followed the instructions to add a new device, scanned the QR code, and the rest was automatic and took less than a minute. once installation was complete I went to Lorex home app and it started a quick tutorial to show me how to control the camera from the app.
everything was seamless and all advertised features worked great and fast. the pan, tilt, and zoom options are snappy to respond and very easy to use through the Lorex home app, you also have to options to record SD, and HD. I found the SD acceptable and it saves space on the Micro SD card which I plan to replace with the max the Camera can support which is 256 GB.
the camera has a 2 way microphone option and it streams sound as well when you open the app.
the night vision is very acceptable and does what it should flawlessly.
The video quality is up to 1920 X 1080
The camera connects on 2.4 gh wireless network, or by plugging an Ethernet cable in its back (which is better for quality and streaming delay, and more secure).
Pros:

I was able to connect the camera to my google home app and to stream the camera feed to my google devices like Google nest screen, and my Google assistant enabled TV by simply asking Google assistant to stream my lorex feed to one of the connected devices.
You can take pictures from within the video incase you needed to.
there is a privacy mode where the camera lens will tilt and be covered inside the casing and the microphone will stop recording. you can reach it by simply opening the app and press the privacy mode button to enable or disable it.

Do these plug into a power source or are they battery operated?
Its powered by a USB cable and a power adapter which is provided in the box.

Is this device compatible with a 5g internet connection?
This works using either wifi or ethernet. has othing to do with 5G (which is a cellular network).

Yes you can and after you do you can go and enable the option rotate image from the app to get the picture right.
