The Blueair - Classic 605 Smart Console 775 Sq is a true and legit air purifier with a lot of bells and whistles you didn’t even know you needed.
I have had over 4 air filters and purifiers over the past 7 years, some of them with UV technology to sanitize and destroy odors. They ranged in price but none of them gave me the piece of mind in getting rid of stale air smell, pet odors/ dander and cooking smells and the occasional cigar in my well ventilated home office during winter cold days.
Packaging: the packaging is very good as the item came in an outer shipping box, and inside it is the color box that contains the purifier and that was firmly fixed in place by a 2 Styrofoam side boards and a plastic bag. when i took it out of the box it was flawless.
Rating and features:
you need to know that this air purifier is rated for rooms or spaces up to 775 sqf, which happens to be a little bigger than the room I intended to use it in. with that being said, the purifier is massive in size and it cant be hidden, but the design is very nice and blends in with any type of furniture color scheme you may have in any room.
this purifier is provided with 3 Hepa Silent filters that were already installed, removing them and replacing them is very easy as you just need to pull and replace.
those HEPA filters remove dust, mold, bacteria/ viruses, pollen, dust mites, pet dander. there is also a carbon based filter that in addition to the above, can remove VOC, smoke, cooking odors, and chemicals.
the 3 filters included are identical, meaning when you want to replace them you can order the same filter from Blueair and you will get a package with 3 filters. a subscription is also available with a great 15% off the price of the filters when you subscribe.
the purifier came in a nice white color and on 4 wheels, ready to use out of the box.
there is a plastic lid you can pull out on the top of the purifier that has 3 LED buttons/ indicators: one for wifi connectivity, one for fan speed ( up to 3 speeds), and the final one would tell you the status of the filter.
The filters are to be replaced every 6 months if and only if you are using the purifier 24/7.
Blueair app: the app is great for many reasons and its available on the app store and in Google play. Once you install the app it will ask you to connect your device and you can follow the steps and connect your purifier within 5 minutes.
Once the purifier is connected to the app you can turn the purifier on and off, choose the fan speed, schedule operating times with multiple schedules, buy replacement filters and/ or subscribe to a filter replacement subscription (I advise you only subscribe after you figure out the purifier hourly work routine). Check the outside air quality thanks to the plug in that shows on the app home screen, integrate your purifier with Alexa or Google assistant (if the purifier supports this feature).
Usage: the purifier has been great and I found that the best setup for my use is the second or middle speed, it doesn’t surpass 44 dba while the highest speed goes up to 62 dba which is quite loud. And here is where the app comes in handy as you can set up a routine and have it work at the maximum speed while you are not in that specific room/ or away from home and you will come back to a fresh smell. It also comes in handy if you want to quickly kill some odors like cooking, frying odors, or get it in an area where you have cat litter or where your dog sleeps incase someone is coming over.
The best selling point for us getting this purifier is that we do have relative who has allergies to cats and most pets and this purifier enabled us to invite him safely to our home and they being able to stay for hours without any allergic reactions of discomfort.
Blueair hit a home run with this purifier and I am extremely satisfied with this product.

Great things come in small packages

The RR-60 scanner is a MUST for anyone who does itemized deductions for tax purposes, or for any small business owner who have to keep receipts of everything, but in my case, I work in Healthcare administration and we have satellite offices that I move in between 3 or 4 times a week. this has been a great addition to my laptop bag because it is very small and portable, have endless saving options for scanned documents as you can scan and then save into Google Drive, DropBox, send via email, send to evernote, powerpoint, excel, word, or onedrive as you can see in the attached image.
the smart scan utility also gives you the option to save as PDF, searchable PDF (OCR), PNG, JPEG, TIFF, and more.
you can also use the bonus software that comes with the smartscan utility to to manage invoices/ receits and import data from scanned documents and export it to Tax softwares like TurboTax.
This is not the first Epson mobile scanner that I owned. I have been using Epson mobile scanners for over 4 years and those scanners are still working with no issues whatsoever.
the scanner is very small and fits in my laptop bag with no issues.
The scanner comes with a quick user guide and a USB to Micro USB cable to power the scanner and connect it to a Computer and a cleaning sheet and a calibration sheet.
I know that this will live for years to come and will be a work horse regardless of its small size.

Great value on a budget

Design/ build quality:
The Jib true wireless in ear headphones came in low key Matte black and the case is matte black with a grey line and the skull candy logo embossed in the case and on each of the earphones in black matte as well. I found the design and size of the earphones nice and it looks durable.
The case is somewhat taller than other models, but this is understood as they needed to cram a bigger battery to get you the 22 hours combined battery life.
Am worried about the hinge though and I am not sure how long it will last it I start putting it in my jean pocket.
Pairing/ ease of use:
Once you remove the earphones from the case they turn on and try to pair or connect with the phone. Pairing is a straight forward process and took less than 20 seconds to be paired to my phone and the same to be paired with my laptop.
Range is acceptable with no interruptions up to 20 feet with no barriers between you and your devise.
Touch controls are more like press controls. They are not a tap to activate, they are press buttons and I found it bothering at first but then got used to it.
Controls are 1 press, 2 press, 3 press, and long press to get you the controls you want. The guide that’s in the box is very useful and easy to follow.
Sound quality/ Volume:
I was surprised by how good these little buds are. The highs and lows and really good for the price, and you feel an immersive depth which is great. Volume is high enough to enjoy music and have phone calls.
Comfort/ usability:
these earphones are very comfortable and you honestly forget that you have them on after a while. I am able to exercise with them and they never fell or felt unsecured. They are water and dust resistant, so light rain isn’t going to be a problem, but they ARE NOT waterproof.
Battery life:
I am getting 20+ hours from each charge. the case has a built in battery so when you are not using the headphones they are in the case charging via a micro USB cable.
Final thoughts:
These are really a great option to enjoy a good quality sound with long battery life and a fully functional controls with a very affordable price.
I can’t complain about not having Google assistant available or the fact that it’s a Micro USB charging at this price.
These are a home run, I recommended them for many of my family and friends.

Skullcandy is becoming a big player!

The wireless Hash Evo Headphones are a new addition to Skullcandy lineup that keeps impressing.
Design/ Build quality:
Skullcandy have been a specific design style that is recognizable across their line up. Its simple yet elegant and these headphones are no different. They are in matte black with good quality build that is made of light weight material but built sturdily. I have been using Skullcandy products for over 3 years and they are still all in working order.
Pairing/ connection:
These headphones can be connected with either Bluetooth or using the provided dual male stereo jack cable. Pairing via Bluetooth took literally 10 seconds. I was able to pair it to my Android and Apple phones, and to my Bluetooth enabled tv for an immersive sound experience that doesn’t disturb others in the night hours.
Sound quality/ volume:
Sound quality is good enough for this price range. The bass and treble are good and the volume is high enough for me and my preference.
Call quality is very good. No issues here whatsoever.
Comfort:
these are very comfortable to wear. They are built ergonomically in a way that causes no pressure points anywhere on my head. This is one of the most important factors in choosing a headphone and it is as important as the sound quality.
These headphones are extremely comfortable and I forgot I was wearing them. They are perfect and take little space when not in use, you can fold and stack them in the black bag that came in the box.
They also fit snuggly on my head, and they cover my ears well. Skullcandy claims they have noise isolating fit, not noise cancelling and I found that to be true.
Battery life: I got 30+ hours per charge when using on mid volume and Bluetooth. Charging is via a USB type C which is great as I don’t need to have many different cables to charge it. What charges my phone works with these headphones as well.
Controls placement/ ease of use: Controls are easy with soft press buttons for power, volume up/ down and pairing, and answering calls.
Extra features: they come with tile built in so you can locate them if you misplaced them using the paired device.
Final thoughts: Skullcandy continues to impress me. I have been using their products for years and I am not disappointed.

Nearly checks all the boxes

The withings scanwatch is a wonderful almost has it all health and fitness watch that has great features that i believe will only improve with time.
Whats in the box:
- the watch
- the charger
- a fabric pouch
- quick guide and accessories cards
Build quality:
I have been using the watch for almost 3 months now and I have to say that this is by far the most comfortable health and fitness watch I have ever used and I have many others to compare to.
the build quality is solid and the minimalist design that combined the traditional classic round watch look with mechanical dials and the digital screen in the upper half of the watch face is timeless.
Features:
battery life is insane: i have charged the watch 3 times in almost 3 months and today I have crossed the 30 day mark without a charge and the watch has 2% left in it but its still going.
Heart rate scanning: Accurate.
Electrocardiogram or EKG: this has been a miss for the most time. I have a condition called right bundle branch block (RBBB). is a heart block in the right bundle branch of the electrical conduction system. During a right bundle branch block, the right ventricle is not directly activated by impulses travelling through the right bundle branch.
the watch has never detected an irregular EKG for me although mine should always be irregular. hopefully this is something that will be fixed in future software updates. but as of now, it is not accurate at all.
O2 sensor or oxygen sensor: its accurate if you do it correctly. you have to activate it and then press the watch face against your skin for 30 seconds to get a reading.
Sleep cycle sensing: this is a hit and miss for the most part. the watch will not read your sleep if you take a nap during the day no matter how long or short it is. other health trackers I have that are at least 2 years older than this one do track all sleep cycles and give you accurate sleep efficiency data.
- activity tracking: this has been accurate for the most part as long as you have the app installed on your phone.
- water resistance: I have been showering with the watch on, went to the Sauna wearing it, and swam with it on. no issues here whatsoever.
- Overnight sleep disturbance: this is an interesting measure as the watch tells me how many times a night my sleep was disturbed.
Overall, at this price point the Withings Scanwatch is a great tool with a lot of potential. it received multiple software updates since I got it and it continues to get better. I like the look which enables me to wear it to any occasion as it works with casual and formal clothing, and with active clothing as well. its not heavy or bulky, and have a decent amount of accessory bands to customize it however you want.

A quick fix between salon visits

I got this straightening comb for my wife who has black coarse hair and we believe she is a type 4.
she liked that this is a light weight straightening comb with different heat settings, and a turbo heat option to treat tough areas.
her notes are that this is comfortable and ergonomic to use, does heat up quickly and easy to use.
she complained that the spacing between the teeth was not wide enough and that the teeth themselves are not long enough to keep the hair in between when combing down from roots to edges.
but she did say that the results do last a longer time than her go to comb and that she doesn't get hot spots like the other one that she uses.
this one is her go to everyday since we got it.
she liked that this is a light weight straightening comb with different heat settings, and a turbo heat option to treat tough areas.
her notes are that this is comfortable and ergonomic to use, does heat up quickly and easy to use.

but she did say that the results do last a longer time than her go to comb and that she doesn't get hot spots like the other one that she uses.

Good car charger with 2 ports

The Belkin Boost charge- car charger is a sensible car charger from a brand that stands behind its products.
This is my 5th Belkin product in the past 3 years, and I am proud to say that all the products I bought from Belkin in the past are still in excellent working conditions.
this charger has 18 watt charge per port, a total of 36 for both USB type C ports.
it is compatible with my all of my devices that include an Iphone se, a google pixel 4, a Samsung Galaxy tab, a Samsung Galaxy note 9, a Google Pixel book, and more.
the functionality of having 2 ports to charge is great, we wont fight on who gets to charge thier phone on road trips, 2 can charge at the same time.
I am going to buy another one for the back so my kids can charge & ride in peace as well.
Great product from a reliable company.
the only con I have is that at this price, the charger came with no USB type C charger cable included in the box.

Good headstart for curious kids (and parents)

The iRobot rt10 is a wonderful gadget for curious kids and adults alike.
I have a 12 years old kid who took beginner coding classes in the past 3 years and he said that the concept on coding blocks which this robot uses is very similar to the Scratch coding class that he took (Scratch is a coding course created by MIT and is oriented for kids).
setup was easy once we looked it up on YouTube (there is no clear instructions on how to setup the device included in the box).
after that we were able to send code to iRobot Root using Chrome browser and BlueTooth or using a smart phone.
the Robot has sensors for movement in addition to lights and sounds feature.
the interface for the coding blocks is very easy and intuitive, and makes it a great bonding and learning time for adults with kids.
the wet earase marker that came with the device is green but we added different color markers to make better designs and add a bit of complexity.

The Google Pixel Buds True wireless earbuds are the perfect earbuds for me.
What's in the box:
- Google earbuds
- USB to USB- C charging cable
- Earbuds case
- Quick setup guide
- 3 size rubber pieces (one installed and 2 separate ones).
Build quality:
The case size is perfect and can fit with no issues at all fitting it in jeans pockets. It is firm and you don’t have to worry about opening and closing it endless times. The hinge is good quality and it has a good click sound when you close it. The material of the case is soft touch plastic which makes it look and feel expensive at this price point. the case has USB type C charging and does allow for wireless charging as well but not phones that support reverse wireless charging.
The buds are well built as well and fit snug in my ears and I really don’t feel am wearing them at all although I have used them for 3 plus hours at a time. I have used them for work, for work out, and they always felt good with no pressure. They are rated at IPX4 water resistant buds.
Sound quality:
The sound quality is very good and clear. The buds have decent highs and lows for the size. I had zero sound drops while using them with my Pixel 4.
Connection and usability:
I have been using the pixel buds with my Pixel4 XL phone. Once I removed the buds from the case for the initial setup while my phone Bluetooth was on, the phone automatically discovered the buds and asked to set them up.
The phone did the setup up by itself and then it took me to the tutorial on how to use the buds with the phone.
Using the buds is very easy and straight forward.
- Swiping on either bud left to right or tight to left is used for volume up and down
- Tapping once on either earbud will pause/ resume what you were playing. It will also answer a call when you get one
- Tapping twice to skip forward
- Tapping 3 times will go back to previous track
- Long tap will launch google assistant.
Battery life
You can get up to 5 hours of the buds on a single charge, and a total of almost 20 hours when the case is charged at 100%.
Other features worth noting:
- Google translator built in
- Find my earbuds. When enabled on a compatible device the buds will ring so you can find them.
Cons:
- No noise cancellation.
- Could be a bit cheaper.

Super Headset for an average price!

I have owned 20+ headsets in the past 5 years and they range from cheap headsets to $400 plus headsets and this one beats them all!
The Stealth 700 Gen 2 is built specifically for gaming and there are 2 varieties (PS and Xbox). It can also be used with Nintendo switch while in docked mode.
First of all, these headsets work with anything that is Bluetooth capability, but have specific capabilities for Ps4 and the upcoming Ps5.
What's in the box:
- Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset
- USB to USB- C charging cable
- Quick setup guide
- USB Bluetooth nano transmitter
Build quality:
The build quality is very good and comparable to higher price headphones. The frame is made of matte black plastic with soft touch and the band is an adjustable metal band which clicks every time you expand it. The padding for the head and ears is made of memory foam and it is very comfortable even after hours of wearing. The ear pads are removable and replaceable if you needed to. The placement of the buttons is very good and well thought of. The mic is on the left side and if you flip it back to place it automatically mutes the mic and it doesn’t get in the way. The headset has a tilt movement at the ears where you can tilt the ear pieces left or right until you find the perfect position on your face.
The ear cups are made of pleather or fake leather and I find the thickness of the ear cups perfect and again, very comfortable to wear for long hours. They also keep your ears cool and they can be used while wearing glasses with no issues at all.
Headset weight: although these are wireless headsets with 20 hour play time on a single full charge, they are relatively light and didn’t cause any discomfort while wearing them to play or during conference calls.
Sound quality:
The sound quality is great and very clear with high highs and very low lows. the sound is so immersive while wearing this headset, and the mic is very clear when using it for chat and very low latency rate.
The sound and mic features can be configured by downloading the turtle beach app. The app has many features and presets that can get you to your desired setting and you can use the mappable button on the headset to move between the eq profiles and a dial to change between functions.
Connectivity:
This headset is very easy to connect via Bluetooth enables devices and also via the USB Bluetooth transmitter and it is plug and play. It also supports multiple connections with the device at the same time.
Battery life:
I was able to get close to 18 hours of mixed use of this headset on a single charge. This is so under-rated and it is a huge pro for this headset at this price point.
Conclusion:
I can’t recommend this enough as it has it all at a great price.

I purchased this item, a LG television, and a Pixel XL the same day. Can not get my cell connected, phone will not give me any options in the cast window. Downloaded the screen beam app and still nothing. Help.
All devices should be connected to the same wifi network in order for them to interact with each others. you do not need to download a screen sharing app like screen beam as both your AirTV and your Google Pixel Xl have google cast built in. check your wifi setting and follow the instructions carefully to hook up the devices together.

Not yet, but I was able to use Google cast from my phone to watch my DirecTV channels with zero lag or issue.

It uses its own GPS direction and does not need help from the phone.

Does it provide parked car monitoring; recording events by motion and g-sensor while unoccupied? (Car off, no phone connected. Understand power would still need to be supplied.)
No it does not work when phone is not connected via Bluetooth.

Does this have a rechargeable battery? Does Garmin work with satellite in phone is out of range?
it does not have a rechargeable battery, and it doesn't use your phone data as it has its own GPS receiver.

From what I can tell from the photos, it only has a basic display showing arrows and distances (just like many 1st gen GPS's in the 90s). Can the display show dashcam images? Also, is there a way to have the GPS map displayed on the phone navigating?
the answer to both questions is no. you can't see dash images on the device itself but you can on your phone and you can share across social media or save it to your phone (depending on your phone).
