Actually Did Replace my Laptop

The Surface Pro 4 tablet does what Microsoft said it would do, it replaced my laptop. I also got the Microsoft docking station. With one connection to the Surface, I am able to connect a 4K monitor, flatbed scanner, and wide-carriage photo printer. It's working so well, that the Surface may replace my desktop too.
