Finally, An Excellent Release On A Horror Classic!

Synapse Films has released this awesome DVD ( Blu Ray as well ) for those Prom Night fans who have been screaming for something special. Many past releases of the film on DVD have not been that great; Dark frames, basic audio, no special features. On this release, the film is very clear in every shot, and 5.1 or the original 2.0 mono sounds are available.

What's not so great: Nothing

The front cover can be misleading to some if you are not a fan of the series. Jason does not arrive in Manhatten until the last 30 minutes or so of the film. I am a huge Friday the 13th fan of the series. But this one has somewhat been one of my least favorites of the series. Great commentary and special features are on the dvd though.

Winger's last album "Karma" was probably their best since 1993's "Pull". In some ways, "Karma" was better though. "Better Days Comin'" is not as great as "Karma", but overall, it is a great sounding album from the band. For me, there is not enough heavy sounding songs on this one, but it's not to say there are some on here such as "Rat Race".
What's great about it: Winger continues making great music that is reflective of past time.
What's not so great: Nothing at all.
