I was traveling in my Rv and didn't want to use my cell as hotspot to watch my RV Tv. There where campgrounds without internet and the tv satellite signal was poor. Since my company cell offers free streaming from Netflix and other companies, I decided to buy this product to mirror whatever I see in my cell in my Rv Tv. It works awesome, I didn't have to use my hotspot to watch my tv in family and I didn't need outside internet!

I don't know the S6, but it worked perfectly with my S7 and my Note 3.

Why not simply get a ChromeCast? Same Price, better brand, and screen casts too.
ChromeCast needs internet for streaming. I have traveled to places without internet signal or at least very low to streaming (ex. campgrounds). Most people have cellphones and some of them have HBO/Netflix etc streaming free. With this product you may see whatever you have in your cellphone/computer/tablet in a Tv. It does not matter if the tv is smart or not.
