Every Coldwar Kids album has a unique voice and this one steps back from contemporary pop to build the kind of swelling anthems heard in either 80's adult rock or Christian Rock. There are hooks and choruses and piano similar to their past albums but the distinguishing features are smooth atmospheric backing vocals and foot-stomping (but stay seated, no need for chaos) anthems that harken back to the Pepsi commercials proclaiming it to be the choice 'of a generation.' A good solid album from a band admittedly a few years past "Hang me Out to Dry" but a band that is making a seamless transition to early middle-age (take a lesson, Foo Fighters).

This album has the classics 'Start Wearing Purple' and 'Think Locally' as well as other gems like '60 Revolutions' that light a fire inside you and pump you up when blasted from your car stereo, windows down of course. It doesn't quite have the heart and soul of Pura Vida Conspiracy or Super Taranta but it's a must-own just the same.
This release from the bizarre sketch comedy series The Whitest Kids U' Know offers all twenty episodes of the show's third season, featuring skits about race, gender, and the dangers of speedboating. Extras with the set include audio commentary, bonus sketches, and more.

I absolutely loved the first two seasons of this show! The third season starts out weak but it eventually builds up to grade-A sketch comedy. The Most Lovliest Bride and Table Monster are still referenced by my family several years after we stopped paying for IFC. Buy the first two seasons before this one, but definitely buy this one right after.
