I replaced a really nice 55" Samsung LED that was not 4K let alone Ultra HD. The difference in picture is phenomenal. The black colors are much darker, and the picture is overall much richer. I have a Sony 70" also, 4K but not Samsung Ultra HD, and honestly I much prefer this display over the somewhat larger Sony, which just does not have the same rich colors and beautiful picture. I got this on sale for $1999, and honestly wish I had gotten 2. The Samsung 4k Ultra HD picture is just that good, in my opinion.

Great Picture for a reasonable price

I previously had Samsung LED Tv's, the last one being a 60", which still works great. This is a great sized picture, and I'm happy overall with the Tv. I was used to Samsung's glossy screen, where this Sony has more of a matte finish. It took me a bit to get used to it, and a LOT of experimenting with the settings to get a picture I was really happy with. Overall, it looked much darker than I was used to, the Samsung's picture was much more vibrant. I did, however, get it to look nice and bright, and am satisfied now with the picture. Either that or I got used to the different look. Sony's products are great, and it works well with my Sony Receiver that already had 4k HDMI switching. It is much heavier than the Samsung 60", and strangely, uses smaller diameter screw holes for mounting than the Samsung...but, it seems secure.

I mounted these outside and used them for a couple nights before returning them for the Altec Lansing speakers that cost $100 more. Yeah the price was good, but they have no bass whatsoever, and I just couldn't stand their tinny sound. Sometimes it's worth shelling out the cash for a much improved listening experience.
