Just like the main side channels, you shouldn't cut corners on your listening experience. I tried the Atmos soundbars and they just don't do surround sound justice. You're not going to get real surround sound with an all-in-one speaker system.

This is a great receiver. My ONLY complaint...when turning this unit it always switches the input selection and it needs to be changed. I have tried to change the default setup, but haven't corrected the issue just yet. I will continue to search. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this unit.

Well, I was looking for a surround sound without wires and this was presented as the "best there is". I own a Samsung 75" TV so I thought, "why not". Let's be honest, if you want to put speakers as "rear speakers" and you are simply pushing the same sounds/effects as the front center channel...then it's not real surround sound. I will give the Salesperson/Best Buy credit. They have a perfect setup in their Magnolia room (small room, low ceiling with no echo, 4K ultra TV & DVD Player, 4K ultra disk with Dolby Atmos effects). This provides for a fantastic presentation, but just realize that this product is NOT going to sound like it does in the showroom in your home. Brought it back and paid the price to get Pioneer Elite receiver with Bowers & Wilkins speakers. You just can top real surround sound.
