I have owned many mirrorless cameras. The G7 has very fast focusing and produces wonderful JPEGs, something Panasonic camera's have not always done in the past.
A great set of configurable external control buttons and wheels allow quick control of the shot parameters.
Panasonic has a lot of experience with 4K video and the G7 shows the results. With the 4K photo, you can extract frames from video at 30 shots per second, which allows you to capture just the right moment.
The one missing feature on this camera is in-body stabilization. You need to have stabilized lenses with the G7 and the result is not as good as what Olympus is producing in their stabilized bodies, such as the OMD-EM5 MkII.
Exquisite image quality and creative freedom in a truly compact package. For razor-sharp images and pro-quality defocused backgrounds, the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 features a large, 1" sensor and an ultrabright Carl Zeiss f/1.8 lens. ..
Well..Its not actually an SLR, it doesn't have a viewfinder. But this is a tiny camera with a big sensor and a fast lens that produces stellar images with low noise. This means you can shoot in low light without a flash and still get excellent pictures.
What's great about it: Shoots in the dark
What's not so great: Need to set the sharpening up over the default
