touch screen does not work

So the Moto phone has a screen issue at first I thought its just the code to get in the screen to unlock it, but no.
The screen gets locked or stops randomly not to do with internet or wifi connection.
I paid $199 plus tax and it was a very disappointing product. I wish I could return it or exchange it.
