This is an amazing performance by chameleon Gary Oldman - after a short time I forgot I was watching an actor but assumed I was watching Churchill himself. Wish the story had gone a bit longer. It's basically his first 5 weeks as Prime Minister.
From the director that gave us "Ex Machina" comes another dark sci-fi thriller. This does have an interesting looking alien we've not really seen before - hard to do in this day and age. Though some might find some conceptual similarities with "The Thing".
Just watching Robin at the top of his game is worth the price of admission. Good story at the hands of Barry Levinson, who gave us films like "Rain Man" And "Diner".
I never read the book this dystopian tale is based on but the show is excellent and serves as a warning as to what might happen to a less than diligent society that allows the government to slowly erode their rights.
Not your typical vampire flick, this is a mockumentary, directed by the New Zealander who directed the newest Thor flick. Very funny stuff and there may be a sequel focusing on the werewolves.
If you're a fan of South Park, you already have an idea of what you're in for. The puppets are hilarious and yes it's irreverent, satirical and filthy as you would expect.
I read the graphic novel way back when and this is a great adaptation of it. Looks exactly as you would expect. It's aged rather well even considering the modern special fx we're used to these days. It's more plot and character driven anyway. And the always gorgeous Jennifer Connelly is stunning in this, when she was so much younger. Alan Arkin is good and Timothy Dalton has a go at being the villain. Good clean fun.
Okay, this is complete escapism at it's finest. Unbelievable plots and stunts, but that's why we like Die Hard, isn't it? Bruce has got the character down. Great price (19.95) for 5 movies on Blu-ray!
Combining a recreated past with near-future technologies has enabled humans to live out their greatest desires for a fee in Westworld. However, this journey across the wild west takes many turns as each character struggles with coming to terms with their consciousness and morality. Directed by Jonathan Nolan and starring Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris and Thandie Newton. This release collects all episodes from the debut season of Westworld.
One of the best new shows in a while! Perfect subject matter for the times. Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Evan Rachel Wood and more. Great cast, writing and visuals. Don't miss this one!
What can one say? We have De Niro and Pesci together again. As always Pesci kind of steals the show. Also Sharon Stone does a great job as De Niro's junkie wife. James Woods as the sleazy ex-boyfriend. Lots of other familiar faces from classic gangster flicks. Las Vegas in the 70's. What a circus!
