Excellent Quality at a Great Price

The picture quality on this T.V. is excellent. The slim design and lightness of T.V. are additional bonuses; their is no question I got an excellent deal on this T.V. I was looking for "steal of a deal" because was attended to replace another 42 inch Plasma T.V. at my families cabin/house on TN River that my Dad couldn't get to turn last time he was up. After about two weeks of receiving T.V., my Dad (74 yrs. old) and I made the trip to our Cabin for me to switch the T.V.'s out. Before removing the old T.V., checked all the cables, tested the surge protector and outlet; discovered that the Satellite Universal Remote lost programming over the fall and winter. So, my Dad and I decided to hookup it up the new T.V. anyway for the weekend, at the end of the weekend decided not to return the T.V. because of how great of a deal I got it for. Another great find on BestBuy.com! :-)

I absolutely love my new Speck Case, particulary the rubber grip on the pack side of the case to prevent case from slipping out of hands or off surfaces. My last Speck case for my iPhone 5 just had the smooth back and I couldn't tell you how many times it slipped out of my hands when I went to answer it; the worse when it happened while I was driving. :-)

Thought it would take at least 30 min or more to find the "perfect case'" b/c she had already looked on bestbuy.com, in 3 retail stores (including bestbuy) and had no luck finding a case she liked. I get notified my girlfriend's iPad was in and later that day we go pick it up & hopefully run across a case that catches her eye. By know I know the whole layout of store b/c I visit it quite often. :-). Since she was not having luck finding even a case that appealed to her enough to settle, I told her I was going to clearance & open-box area in Tech Dept. (PCs, tablets, etc.). Will this tv work with 50hz as opposed to the recommended 60hz?
TV bought in Toronto but planning on attending an expo in France. Can arrange a converter 240v to 120v, but the 60hz - 50 hz is more difficult. Will this make a difference?
I'm not 100% sure on my answer to your question, thus my advice would be to call Sharp or go into your local BestBuy and ask a T.V. Department Sales Associate.

can I use the remote that came with this TV instead of the HD cable remote?
Yes, both remotes are capable of working the T.V.; I use the T.V. remote each time I'm using one of my devices other than my cable HD box.

How long is it warranted?
Mine just went on the @#%& and have only had it for 8 months.
One year manufactory warranty if bought T.V. new or Open Box and/or store display. 90 Day Warranty if Refurbished, but believe Best Buy might stand behind Geek Squad Certified Refurbished items for six months (might want to double check warranty for Geek Squad Certified).
