So yes, this is a gift card - not a whole lot to review other than it does what it supposed to. But here is a thought, how often do you get a Best Buy Rewards Certificate that may not be enough to get something expensive or there is not anything you can think of that you could really use? Use it to get an iTunes card. Even if you have $5 Best Buy Certificate, use it on the $15 iTunes card and it is like getting 33% off.

This sleeve is just that – a sleeve. It is not a carry case, it is designed to be put in something else and is made for protection and aesthetics. With that said, it is high quality and made of faux leather that feels and looks like the real thing.
Pros :

Faux leather has been perfected, it has a luxurious feel.
Slim, quick-loading envelope-style design
Dedicated openings for port access
Lets you charge and access ports while your laptop remains in sleeve
Cons :
A little too precise fit, I would have preferred a little more give.
It could use a handle. I know it is a sleeve but a tasteful handle would have made this a great case.
Enough of the $50 cases/sleeves, we all know they should really cost half that.
The faux leather is not as durable as others, tends to get indents easy.

Stick with the M50-C1

This is a less expensive version of the Vizio M50-C1. While slightly newer than the M50-C1, the Vizio D50U-D1 features seems to be the exactly the same as the M50-C1 but there is one glaring difference that you do not see in the specs - LED zones. The M50-C1 has 32 vs only 12 in the D50U-D1 being reviewed here. So what does that mean? Both of these TV's have full array local dimming. That is the ability to dim the area of the screen that needs it, while keeping the bright parts of the screen bright. Something needs to control that so manufactures divide the screen into zones to control the corresponding LED's. The more zones there are, the better control there is over the picture quality (at least in terms of the dynamic contrast ratio.) That is where the difference is between the D50U-D1 and the M50-C1. The D50U-D1 just does not measure up, it's dynamic contrast ratio is 5 million to 1 while the Vizio M50-C1 is 20 million to 1. The greater contrast, the greater number of colors it can display. That is a definitive and noticeable difference in picture quality. When you look at the typical $30 price difference between the D50U-Di and the M50-C1, go for the M50-C1.

Sony does it again, creates a proprietary design for an already established technology so it can charge you a premium price ( remember memory sticks?) This is nothing more than a basic 32 GB micro SD card. It should cost $20 but Sony forces retailers to sell it for $80 through pricing agreements and high costs. What Sony did here is make subtle physical changes to a micro SD like card so that it will only fit in the Vita. Additionally , there are some formatting difference. Does it do the job? Yes. Is Sony forcing you to pay more than premium price by designing a proprietary form factor. Absolutely. Do you have a choice if you want a memory card for your Vita - no. Blame Sony on the price, not Best Buy.

HDMI upgrade?
I currently am running my HD TV's with HDMI connections made about five years ago. Will those cables be able to support this TV or are there newer cables that must be used on these 3-D 4-K models?
The short answer is maybe. There are 4 types of HDMI cables ( for the most part.) High-speed with or without Ethernet and or without Ethernet . For 4k televisions, you should use high speed only ( it does not matter whether they are ethernet capable.) High speed cables have been around for over 5 years so you may already have them. If you do need to buy new cables, go for the least expensive high speed cables . There is no difference in performance between a $5 high speed cable and $100 Monster cable ( up to about 20 feet.)
