These guys are rock solid and yeah after a while like anything they fade a bit but man you an reply on these little guys. No client SW to install and lock their computer up, RAID 10, and some pretty freakin' awesome extensions to boot. If this is for your business, it can be depended on. If this is for your home, its an all-in-one solution for so much. I wish I had one @ home. If I did it would be trusted with everything.

What's great about it: Many things actually. Try some of the others and you will know why.

Is this the first model of Acer Chromebook?
Not sure, dont think so but the OS and hardware are VERY superior to the first generations. I actually returned my 1st gens but I LOVE this one...quite a swing.

how do I get wifi so I can use tablet?
You need to have a wireless network you can get onto first. Then pull down the top banner where the wireless symbol lives and connect from there.
