Good coffee, but a few design flaws

I read a lot of reviews on coffeemakers and the Bella had some of the better reviews but not the warnings I would have liked to know.
I like the cone shape (#4 filter). It comes with a reusable mesh filter but I found it left a thick, sludge-like substance at the bottom of my cup. My coffee is ground for a drip coffee maker.
To read the water tank level you have to look at the side--I turn the machine so I can see the water level as I pour in the water. On the plus side, I have better control of where the water goes as I pour it in.
It does make a loud, burbling noise as the last of the water is pumped through. And then it beeps (4 times, I think) when the cycle is complete, but not necessarily when all of the water has dripped through the coffee.
I lift the water tank lid after I've turned it off to let the water/condensation dry out. Unfortunately, there are some areas that collect water and are difficult to dry.
I would recommend it, but not strongly.
