I love this speaker! Went on vacation in South Beach and needed something that was water proof and packed a punch. The sales associate showed us the demo and although the price was a bit high it was an excellent choice. This speaker was so loud that when we had it out by the pool, it could be heard throughout the house we rented. It was perfect whenever we walked to the beach too! My friend went and purchased one as soon as she got back home.

Pump up the bass with this CompR 12-inch subwoofer enclosure. This setup features Kicker's 12-inch, 2-ohm subwoofer installed in a carpeted, black MDF box. My previous system was a Rockford P3 so this sub does not match up to that power but is decent. If you are looking for in your face bass this is not the sub. But it does well for subtle and controllable sound this is an good way to go. Had issues at first, sub blew within a day and had to be replace. It was more than likely due to being faulty from the manufacturer. Replaced it and have not had a problem since. Kicker has a control knob that can be used with their products and installed near the dash to give you extra control. I suggest adding that in. It comes in handy when you don't want too much bass without having to use the radio controls. Overall it does the job.

could this power 2 kicker type R's?
Are you referring to an alpine type R or Kicker Comp? I have this amp currently in one of my cars with 2 12" pioneer subs, it sounds crazy! In my other car I have one Alpine type R with a pioneer 2600w amp. depends on the actual sub and the set up you are trying to achieve, contact the install bay directly to make sure.
