Still great after all this time

The first and second Bioshock have held up surprisingly well. I'm enjoying Bioshock 2 a lot more than I did before.
My only gripe with this remaster has to do with the audio changes in 1 & 2. The first game has terrible sound (over compression/low bandwidth), and the directional audio of 1 & 2 gets messed up every now and then.
If you're reading this and have played all these games before, then you know what to expect. Might be worth the price just for the Minerva's Den DLC alone.

This is like... my third time buying Dark Souls; the first was on the 360, the second one was for the PS3 but then my friend "borrowed" it, and here we are.
Alright, here's a story: There was a time, I used to think Dark Souls was an overhyped and average game. It wasn't until I played Demon's Souls that I realized that Miyazaki was a master at game design. This was around the time when Dark Souls II (not directed by Miyazaki-san) was released, so I bought that and had a pretty good time. Then a year later, I decided to dip back into Dark Souls and MAN. If you're reading this and have never played the game, stop. Don't read anything, don't watch anything, just buy the game. This is one of those games that must be experienced with little knowledge. Trust me. This is close to a perfect game.

There's a reason why G502 has really good rep with competitive gamers. I don't really think I'm *that* much of a serious gamer when it comes to competitive PC, so for the longest time I was using a generic Microsoft wireless mouse for CS:GO. When I got this mouse, I immediately noticed a massive difference in control. There are a lot of hotkeys you can change to your liking. If you play FPS, then I highly recommend keeping in the DPI keys where they are. It helped me a ton when I was trying to figure out my DPI/sensitivity combination. DPI is absolutely essential to getting the right aim. I wouldn't have believed it before (being a casual pleb), but yeah, G502 changed my mind. Oh, did I mention this mouse comes with tiny weights. WTF!? That's insane. I don't know much of a difference it makes, but it's pretty awesome.

Less RPG, More Bethesda

I've put a lot of hours into Fallout 4, and I'll continue to do in the following months thanks to the season pass that came with this bundle. I've had plenty of fun in my 40+ hours so far, but I can't help but feel this is a massive downgrade from Fallout 3 as far as RPG aspects go. The dialogue system has been butchered and there aren't as many different approaches to scenarios. I didn't expect much from the writing, but there were times where the writing was outrageously inconsistent. Some quests were phenomenal while some others were absolutely terrible.
All of this doesn't mean this is a bad game. I certainly had a blast with making a shelter (it took up a HUGE chunk of time, I'll admit). The gunplay is a welcome upgrade from 3 and NV. Don't expect an easy game though. The AI seems to have been updated; they move much faster and are pretty good at fishing you out of cover. Oh, and Piper for the win.
If you come in expecting a pure Bethesda experience, then you'll get what you want. In many ways, Fallout 4 feels like Fallout 3 in a glorified paint job with some missing components here and there. You'll find this easy to forgive with the mindless fun.
