The device is simple to use with a basic interface. I can connect my smartphone and use Pandora, Spotify, or even Google play music.
Once and a while the phone and the Media Reciever would disconnect for a short while and reconnect, but I could also assume that may be the signal in the area affecting the content I stream.
When the sun does hit the device, it is a bit difficult to see. In addition, during the night, the device does not auto-dim. I usually need to manually adjust the brightness.
Overall this device is great. I am using a 2000 Celica GT. I also had to invest in a bracket and wire harness.
