I've attempted many battery power alarms, that always seemed to fail prematurely. Many of them would beep as if the batteries had failed even when they were just replaced.
The Nest Protect is rather heavier due to it's 6 batteries, but it also regularly tests itself with a green ring of light (passing), and notifications sent to an app that can be loaded to a smart phone or tablet.
It also allows for a nightlight that conveniently turns on when people walk near it.

A good case does fit a little tight, so don't be concerned where people complain how tight it fits. The Appple Lightning cables and head phones all plug in very easy through rubber like flaps which seal the ports very nicely when they are not in use. The integral screen cover (a firm clear plastic) still allows for very responsive input and the rubberized casing over the plastic inner skeleton looks like it will provide excellent protection.

Is there an adaptor that allows you to watch movies you have downloaded on your iPod on your TV screen?
I have an iPod Touch and I have an amazing app that i have downloaded multiple movies too. ANd i want to be able to watch them on my big tv instead of my tiny ipod screen. I have been told there are apple ipod tv adaptors that let you transfer your videos from your ipod to tv screen. however since my movies that i want to watch ARE NOT in the specific video app that comes with your ipod, they are are a separate downloaded app, would i be able to watch them through an apple adaptor? or does that adaptor only transfer videos from your apple video app? ...does that make sense? haha sorry i tried to explain best i could!
i looked on apples website and they had about 2 or 3 adaptors....but im not sure if they are able to transfer movies that arent part of your apple video app.
the one digital apple adaptor said it actually mirrored the screen...which i guess is what i am looking for..however it said it only mirrored the ipad screen :(
so if you can help me out that would be great. i just want to know if any of the apple adapotors would work for what i need it to do. or if there is any other, non apple, adaptors that would give me the ability to watch movies that i have downloaded to an app on my tv screen.
by the way i have an itouch 4th gen 32gb.

The 4th gen actually does have cables available that will plug into your 30 pin and give you composite or component video out as well as stereo audio. They are made by Apple. I own a set.

can it survive a six foot drop
I am looking for a case for my i pod touch because it is skinny and I am looking at a thick cases that can survive a six foot drop
I personally feel though no case is bullet proof, the Otterbox would stand a greater chance of protecting the iPod from a 6 foot drop than any competitor.
