In 2012, the TNT cable network formally brought back the blockbuster prime-time soap Dallas, 21 years after it ended its original run. Episodes returned to Southfork Ranch, and reintroduced several of the original cast members, including Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing, the late Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing, and Linda Gray as Sue Ellen Ewing; the reboot also brought in new characters as the "next generation" of Dallas heavyweights.
