The transfer speeds I get are over 100MB/sec. The sustained speed is usually over 100MB/sec and I get peak speeds over 130MB/sec show on Windows 10. 6TB is a lot of space. I also plug it into my WD MyCloud and have network access to it.

I had a single hard disk one before from another company and the socket for USB3 broke. I got this one since Thermaltake is a better brand then the one I had before. Also it has eSATA. I with it had USB3 instead of USB2. My laptop doesn't have eSATA but has USB3. My desktop has eSATA and USB3. It's nice to be able to use 2 hard drives. The eSATA is fast.
