You get a lot in this season. Ezra's power in the force grows, but his tendencies towards accepting the dark side cause him and the Ghost crew some issues that are essential for character development. Sabine's back story finally gets flushed out and she begins to confront her own destiny. But to be honest, the best part of this season is THRAWN. I wish he would've been a bit more imposing in voice, but his presence and action in all the episodes does proud the creation from Timothy Zahn's books. As ruthless as Vader, but calculating and utterly patient, he shows very well in the series why he became grand admiral. He sees victory in increments as he is aware the campaign to crush the rebellion is a slow one. I also like how a lot of Ralph McQuarrie's designs are used throughout the show, like the precursors to droids and combat vehicles that will someday be seen in the original trilogy, paying homage to one of the visionaries that helped breathe life into this sci-fi giant.
You get a LOT of explanation about how the rebellion grew, organized, and acquired personnel and materiel for their war effort. Several times in this season you see the characters risking all for gains unseen, and the culmination to a large battle scene did not disappoint. You also see a few more faces in the Empire and the development of the TIE Defender, the induction of some of the rebellion's most crucial members, and that's all I'll say for now.

A Great Classic 80s Teen Movie

I grew up in the 80's and this was "the" movie amongst my pre-teen friends and I. I had read the book in school and the movie stayed true to the story line. I recently ordered the DVD so my daughter could watch because she also read the book in school. I was surprised, for a movie made in the 80's, she actually liked it quite a bit. The story really hits home even to this day when kids are so quick to judge other kids just for the way they grew up or what they wear to school, add to that a group of boys full of testosterone just ready to prove how tough they are. Really a great classic 80's teen movie with a story line that really hits home, and also a movie that helped launch the career of several actors including Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio, Rob Lowe, and C.Thomas Howell.. I should also mention how much I love the Stevie Wonder song that really never got the credit it deserved, Stay Gold.

Very action packed film. Good use of humor, and drama. The visual aspect was very entertaining. From the opening scene to the amazing climax I was engulfed in the film. I watched it twice to catch what I missed in the plot the first time. It was still awesome the second time around. there is a lot going on in the plot which made it intriguing and fast paced. To begin - I have watched this show since day one. I have absorbed everything that the crew has to offer and I have grown with the characters on the show. This season, although decent, felt like the characters weren't themselves. Leonard seems to be getting weaker as a character, even though I felt like overall he was the most interesting. THey make it seem like he simply bows to Penny's every wim.. while also bowing to Sheldon's every wim.. it's like he has become the "b----" character of the group instead of the interesting one. Raj is a helpless horndog, Howard has become whiny at every turn and overly jealous of Stewart to the point of being excessive, and Sheldon seems confused on what direction they want to take his character.
I still enjoyed the season, but I would like to see the characters return to form and progress in a more natural path instead of just randomly jumping around.

A great show that really sticks with you

I can't get enough of this show.
The dynamic between all of the main characters is perfect. This season threw the entire show to the wind and said 'let's rebuild from scratch' and now we get to see a lot of crazy things happening as the team tries to rebuild. I haven't seen a single episode I didn't like, and the writers twist this show in a million different ways.
Shaw is my favorite character, and the season starts with a lot of fun things happening with the different characters as they try to find their new place in the world. They are struggling, but things are about to start getting shaken up in their war between the two computers.
If you love SCI that is believable and relevant, then this is the show for you. It's amazing.

This is one of my favorite series. It's based on a series of novels instead of the usual manga that inspire anime these days. You can definitely tell as there is a good deal more character development and story complexity than you'll find in standard fare. The fantasy world is well developed to the point where there are distinct cultures in the various countries explored throughout the series. I highly recommend this one.
