I bought this case for my daughter's phone iPhone 6 and she has been quite pleased with it. She loves the "look" and I love the durable protection it provides - several "drops" without any damage to the phone. I would buy it again.

Purchased this with a new Samsung Plasma HDTV. Simple to operate, and of course remote works with the TV. Great Blu-Ray picture and streaming Netflix is a breeze with a gorgeous picture. Happy with performance.

By connecting this Blu Ray Player to my Samsung SMART TV, can I eliminate having to hard wire the player for internet access?

I am asking this question because my TV is wireless and is part of my home network already but this player is not wireless and would normally need to be hard wired (ethernet cable) to get internet access. Problem is I do not have hard wire access in that room - so again I am wondering if being hooked up to the TV it will have internet access via the TV? I understand if the Blu Ray player needs to update it's firmware it needs internet access and that's why this is important to me.
Since your TV already has "Smart" functions, you don't need internet connected to the DVD player at all for those purposes. Updating the software/firmware is another matter. Connecting the DVD player to the TV will NOT provide internet connectivity to the DVD player. However the player can be updated with a USB drive on which you have downloaded the update from Samsung's support website. So, you are good to go!

Will the coaxial output jack on the Samsung BD-H5100/ZA send video as well as audio signal to an older TV?

Will the coaxial output jack on the Samsung BD-H5100/ZA send video as well as audio signal to an older TV that predates HDMI? I am attempting to replace an early vintage Blue-ray player that has multiple options for video and audio connection (HDMI, coaxial, RCA style video and audio component jacks, s-video, etc.) but I'm finding it difficult to source a new player with that level of connetion diversity.
Upgrading does get sticky, doesn't it? The coaxial output is AUDIO ONLY in digital form. The only video output is via the HDMI output. These sorts of roadblocks may lead you to upgrade your TV or consider running the HDMI output through an AV receiver that has an HDMI IN connection and a legacy video output option such as component, S-Video, or composite - whatever connects to your TV. In the latter case you would also send the audio via the coaxial output to the receiver and route the sound from there.

Can this player play a DVD wirelessly through a Samsung TV?

Negatory. It has only one way to connect the video, and that is with HDMI. You do have the choice of routing the audio via either the HDMI cable or a separate coaxial cable.

Smart T.V. and smart Bluray? Is it redundant?

I have a Samsung smart t.v. already loaded with Netflix, hbogo, pandora, etc.. Is it redundent to get a smart Bluray player that has all that? I want to stick with Samsung for compatibility. What's the benefits,if any,of having a smart player with a smart t.v.? Thanks.
It is redundant, undoubtedly. However, you are unlikely to find a Blu-ray player that does not come with "smart" capabilities. As for any benefits of the duplication, there are few. My wife likes being able to connect to Netflix via the TV without having to bring another device into the mix, thus simplifying the process. Fewer buttons to push! :)

Does this unit support Netflix Profiles

Older units default to the main profile and do not see other profiles. Can I use this unit with other profiles?
Yes, it does. Quite nicely, in fact.

What's the difference between a smart and a streaming dvd player?

In some aspects these terms mean the same thing. "Streaming" refers to the ability to watch content that is downloaded via an internet connection on the TV that the DVD player is connected to. Examples include Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, etc. To do so the DVD device will have either or both wireless and Ethernet connectivity to your home network (required).

"Smart" means that the player has built-in applications or software that enable the connections to the above-listed online providers. Through the "apps" in the "smart" DVD player you can "stream" online content.
