My old PS4 broke and I purchased the newer updated unit as a replacement. The only issue I had was that the hard drives were not swap-able between units. I had to rebuild my profile and download all the games again. HDR on this model is a nice update. I would not have bought the upgrade if old PS4 was still working.

No, the monitor supports VGA and DVI only. You could buy a miniDP to DVI adapter cable. Best Buy has a 6 foot and a 10 foot cable. The link is below.
