Awesome picture! Colors are vibrant and clear. I must say Samsung has set the bar in 4K HDR televisions. Only one flaw I'd like to bring up. The little box, I can't remember their term for it, that holds all the HDMI Ins, USB ports is really a pain in the rear end as when you mount this on a wall it makes hiding the cables a bit confusing and could alter your plans. They should at least increase the length of the cable for this module in they continue using it.

Is drying too fast good or bad?

Well this has got to be the best and fastest dryer I have ever seen. This however has one draw back from my use with this model. The dryer default settings for typical loads on the dial are waaay to high. I mean your clothes will dry fast but continue to over dry because the default setting for a normal load is 1 hour. Typically a normal load for me would dry in about 30 minutes and I had to manually stop almost every load.
Finally, great drying can be bitter sweet especially if your clothes are getting cooked for drying too long. Essentially I resorted into never doing any loads unless I was in the house and would check on them periodically.

Washer works fine, features aren't very impressive

I was quickly drawn to this model as it had a nice clear lid so I can observe the washing load. However there is the hand wash basin that obstructs the view (completely) and you cannot remove it optionally. This wash basin, which will probably get used very very rarely over the course of the life of this machine gets in the way of placing detergent and/or fabric softener; with the lip completely open and the hand wash basin fully up you can only pull out the reservoir so much to fill it with detergent etc.
Lastly I've tried purchase the 5 year protection plan for these devices post-purchase without any success. Too bad bestbuy you lost out another $300.00.
Overall the idea of the clear top great however since it is obscured I suggest you find another model.

Additional dry time
I'm curious if you can manually adjust the preset dry time when selecting one of the different cycle options. For example, if I choose the sensor preset for "cotton" can I manually adjust the time to have an additional 20 minutes before beginning drying, or will I need to wait until the cycle is finished and then go manually add more time?

From my experience so far I have not been able to manually input a drying time unless it is on the manual dry option on the dial. I have had quite the opposite issues from you as I have notice my clothes dry so fast that I don't need 1 hour to do them. I'd like to lower the default setting.
