Offering a zoom of this magnitude has been problematic for camera manufactures for some time. This camera meets the challenge. While full zoom Photos may appear blurred from hand shake, even with the built in stabilization, most zoomed photos will look spectacular. The purchase of a monopod or tripod, in addition, will eliminate any problems at full zoom. Perhaps the most severe complaint is the lack of a printed manual and the sheer number of features available that take time to learn. A popular "cheat sheet" is available for purchase to help buyers refer to features in the field. But it is too bad canon did not provide such an aid, a summary sheet, along with the camera.

DO I need a smart phone to use this device? What if anything will not work on the Blaze if I do not have a smart phone?
To map walking/running route need smartphone. Otherwise operates independently. Will need some device....PC, phone, tablet to sync with for long term data recording over days, weeks...

Is it suitable for women
Yes...wife has one and enjoys the daily tracing of her activities. Not overly large to look awkward and she has small wrist. Wristbands come in small size so convenient and secure to wear.

Whats the battery life?
Manual says aboutn5 days...our experience matches that, depending on how often one activates various functions, I suppose. We review data quite a bit and holds up to 5 day schedule on or about.

does it track distance on a treadmill?
Yes, but to a degree uses arm motion...so if keep ar, stationary on treadmill bar might lower accuracy

Does the Fitbit Blaze use Data when it I'm walking or running since it needs my iPhones GPS for Tracking? Thanks in Advance. we are trying to decide between purchasing the Blaze or Garmin's Vivoactive.
If you mean is there ongoing data for day's activity available real time as you wear device throughout any day....yes. No need to have phone on you to see how you are doing. Rather can sync data at any time to phone or PC, tablet for llater viewing of trends, etc.
