Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite:Put the power of the Internet in your pocket with the Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite. A bright 7-inch touchscreen lets you browse websites or watch videos in virtually any light. With built-in parental controls, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite helps you monitor your children's usage habits as they explore apps and games.
Not the fastest tablet on the market, but it's Samsung, so at least you can count on their quality. 8GB memory, with the ability to upgrade to 32GB with a memory card. Tablet feels durable, but the back is a little slippery; also the volume control buttons are a little too close to the power button, I have inadvertently shut it off more than once when trying to increase the volume.
Overall, I like it, and for the price, it serves it's purpose. If you want a tablet with faster processing, this wouldn't be your first option.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mom, who was a teenager during the Beatles' heyday (1964-1970). I'm not even sure she's going to actually play the vinyl, but I think when she looked at the cover art, it brought back a lot of memories.
'It Follows' is a movie that snuck into theaters in the spring of 2015, largely based on positive word of mouth coming from people who had been to one of the film festivals where it was screened. 'It Follows' has a clever premise, which focuses around a young woman who discovers she is being constantly pursued by a monster that takes the form of anyone it wants to. She lives in fear wondering if random people she sees could be the one that could kill her. There is a way she can break the curse of being followed, but it would come at the expense of someone she cares about.
I don't buy a lot of movies on blu-ray, but I picked this one up at a great price because I'd seen it in the theater and knew I would enjoy it's replay value. It's one of the best low budget horror movies to come along in quite some time--smart, creepy, and well acted.
Philips Sonicare 2 Series Electric Toothbrush: Maintain your winning smile with help from this electric toothbrush, which uses Sonic technology to thoroughly remove plaque and clean hard-to-reach areas. The Smartimer ensures you brush for the recommended 2 minutes.
I saw this toothbrush advertised on sale at Best Buy, and I was in the market for a new rechargeable brush. I had an Oral-B rechargeable brush for 5+ years, until it wouldn't fully charge anymore. The major difference between the Sonicare and Oral-B brushes is that the Sonicare uses pulsing/vibration, while Oral-B's brush spins. It took some getting used to with the Sonicare brush, because I thought the Oral-B brush did a fantastic job cleaning away stuff not only on my teeth, but stuff in between them as well. My Sonicare isn't Philips' top of the line rechargeable brush, so while it cleans my teeth just fine, it doesn't really get in between my teeth. It just means I have to floss more, but that's okay. I do like the built in timer on the Sonicare, which automatically shuts the brush off after two minutes, though I almost always opt to turn it on again and brush for an additional two minutes.
