We purchase this product to cool a loft space (378 square feet) that was always 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the downstairs. With no door or way to close it off the cool air just migrated right down the stairs. We installed this in about 30 minutes. It does come with a window vent kit that we had to cut to size then insert the supplied set screw to hold the length in place. We use some wide painters tape to seal the small gap between window and vent kit. The temperature was 81 degrees when we turn it on and within about 120 minutes the temp was down to 73. It has a temperature setting that will cycle the compressor on and off to hold the temperature you set. The unit is very quiet on low and even on high it is tolerable. The cooling vent can be set to move up and down automatically to help move the cooled air around. A very nice feature. So far this unit has exceeded expectations and we are hoping that it will last for many hot season's to come.

Looking at Tod Browning's 1931 DRACULA is virtually like gazing upon the Bela Lugosi classic for the first time. The movie is best remembered for its opening Transylvania set-piece that introduces viewers to Lugosi's unforgettable count, and while the London sequences tend to be static and dull by comparison, the increased detail seen here in the HD presentation makes the talky latter sections of the picture more interesting. In fact, without any overt use of digital noise reduction this ranks as one of the studio's most satisfying catalog transfers to date. The DTS mono sound is nearly crackle-free, and the movie score (which makes the stilted drawing room sequences a bit livelier at least) is also available in Dolby Digital stereo.
If you are a classic monster movie aficionado I highly recommend this high definition movie of the original 1931 Dracula. You'll want to go to sleep with a wreath of garlic around your neck.

I bought this movie because it had pretty good reviews and I had a certificate that was getting ready to expire. Overall I was impressed with the story and the special effects. It sounds great through a home theater system. The story is a bit of a reach but the characters are developed and the acting is above average. The aliens in this movie seem to be very advanced so the US Navy had to be very creative to battle these foes.
I would recommend this movie if you are just looking for a night of entertainment. Just enjoy it for what it is and don't nick-pick the details or the likelihood of the outcome.

Bought this receiver instead of the Sony STRDN850. I went back and forth but decided on the Denon. It was a very easy setup. I went ahead and put the speaker wires on using banana plugs before I powered on the receiver and went through the screen setup. I got one of the speaker wires backwards by putting the negative to the positive post and during the setup process it informed me that this was the case.
The setup went very smoothly. I plugged in all the HDMI cables for my components, setup the WiFi and then did the speaker calibration. Took me about 1 hour to remove my old Yamaha receiver and replace it with this one. The Audyssey speaker calibration using the included microphone and cardboard pyramid was also very simple and straight forward. The GUI interface on the TV screen is very basic but informational. The sound from both the cable box and the Blu-ray player is phenomenal. I'm hearing sounds from my rear speakers that were not audible from the old receiver. The Bluetooth is also very easy to set up with an android phone and the airplay feature for Apple products works just as well. After the setup it prompted me for a firmware update but I didn't do it because I read on some other reviews that it always would fail and then you have to repeat the setup and speaker calibration process again. Since I'm not experiencing any functional problems with the receiver I went with the old adage that if its not broke don't fix it.
I've had this receiver since the beginning of January and I listen to all TV shows and movies using the excellent sound produced by this receiver. If you are looking to replace your current receiver I would readily recommend this Denon to anyone looking for a mid-level 7.2, Network ready, Bluetooth, 4K receiver.

How far can the unit extend from the window that is venting? The photos appear to require it to be within a foot of the window. If the hose that comes with the unit is short, can it be replaced with a longer one? Thanks!
The vent hose is accordion style so it can be extended to approx 36 to 42 inches.
