Printer stopped accepting black ink

Verified Purchase:Yes

The HP Photosmart printer stopped printing in black for extended periods then ceased all together. I replaced the cartridge and it still didn't work so we purchased a new HP Photosmart to use the ink we already had. When taking the new ink cartridge out of the old printer and placing it in the new one, it said "Not a new cartridge" and wouldn't take it - so I wasted $30. The cartridges should allow the user to take them out of one printer and put them in a new printer if they still have ink left in them.

What's great about it: The XL cartridges typically last a lot longer

What's not so great: The HP Photosmart printer stopped printing in black

I would recommend this to a friend!
