Pros: Excellent audio quality for the price, extremely comfortable, feels quality, metal headband, braided cord, removable mic, price.
Cons: Large, closed back.
I purchased these alongside a pair of Razer Kraken's for side by side comparisons after reading many reviews online. These are quite simply the best sounding gaming headphones I've ever heard. Audio is crisp, clear, and enjoyable. The sound stage isn't as wide as open backed headphones but well above average for closed back ones. Highs are clear and non-harsh, mid's are present and smooth, and the lows are punchy without distortion or boom. I was hearing things in my games I hadn't heard before with my Creative Labs G500 desktop speakers.
The mic works very well and I've had no complaints from team mates about clarity. The fact that it's removable is a bonus.
Comfort wise these are top notch! Easily the most comfortable headphones I've worn in quiet some time. The ear cups are generous and comfortable, allowing them to completely envelop your ears without pinning them to your head. The metal headband keeps them clamped securely but not tightly to your head allowing for hours of fatigue free wearing. After 2 1/2 hours of use I'd almost forgotten I was wearing them.
Bottom line, these are likely the best bang for the buck you can find for a pair of gaming headphones. I highly recommend them!

Pros: Good build quality, innovative retractable mic, easy to use inline controls.
Cons: Audio quality, comfort.
I purchased these on sale at my local brick and mortar store in the hopes that I could get an inexpensive headset for multiplayer gaming. Known Razers reputation I decided to purchase these along side a competitors product the HyperX Cloud Revolvers.
I found the Kraken's to be extremely uncomfortable to wear. After no more than 15 minutes of wearing them on my average sized head I began to experience a vice like sensation that would remain with me for several minutes even after removing the headphones. I've read reports online of people stretching them apart for some time in order to reduce their clamping effects and I likely would have considered doing that if it wasn't for the audio quality.
Audio was tested directly from the PC's Creative Labs Z sound card as well as an iPhone. Both delivered muddy audio despite attempts to correct for it using the sound cards EQ. The audio sounded very muffled and almost as if I was listening to it through some foam or a thin pillow. At this point in my testing I removed the headphones and returned them to best buy without testing the mic as I had no intentions of keeping them.
