Budget release that contains the theatrical AND the director's virtually unseen cut. I like releases that give us the option to choose which version to watch. With that said, OUATIA is Leone's epic entry into the gangster genre chronicalling over 50 years in the lives Jewish hoods in NYC. GOODFELLAS? Get outta here! OUATIA was made 6 years before it. Check it out. This movie could make you a fan of the Maestro.

See Medusa, the Kraken, winged Pegasus, Calibos Lord of the Marsh, the beautiful Andromeda and a stern Laurence Olivier as Zeus. This is 1 of my favorite films of all time!

This 2 disc edition is absolutely perfection. This is exactly how Hugh Jackman should play his last screen appearance as Logan. Here he is tired, trying to lay low and caring for an ailing Professor Xavier. This is a noirish road movie to top them all. The story is superb. The action is top notch. A fitting final chapter to one of my favorite X Men--before any movie about him was made.
Note: this movie would pair well with THE GAUNTLET (1977) starring Clint Eastwood.

Malik can do no wrong in my eyes. I champion him no matter the project. Here, his outdoor aesthetic fits perfectly with the famous SXSW festival. Throw in some hushed narration, a devilish turn by Michael Fassbender and the usually dreamy Ryan Gosling and voila! You have the aptly titled SONG TO SONG. The only minus is the one 2 minute extra about the Austin festival. Wish there were more.
