Upgraded from Dual ATI 6970s. Upgrading others computers you sometimes forget about your own rig. But since the release of Battlefield 1 and Star Wars Battlefront my dual cards couldn't play either of the games, so good medium budget upgrade. The single card specs surpass my old duals and load times on Battlefield 4 got cut in half. Was experiencing some lag, not anymore and FPS is double what it was, even at ultra settings.
It was this or spending another $250+ on the GTX 1070 Founders but since i just do not game as much as use to I just didn't feel the need to spend that much.

Download the TOMTOM home app to your phone to have the the GPS recognize your smartphone if you have issues connecting Bluetooth. You have to register for an account online as well. Live update was not as accurate as my Google maps which was a little disaapointing. The side map shows upcoming gas stations and that is it, wish it would of showed more. Searching POIs is a lot easier then my last model since it uses your phones Internet as well as the pre loaded POIs The GPS Tells what lanes to stay in and was accurate even how many lanes there were. It did suck up my data and maybe should of went with one they had live update built into the unit. Automatically goes to a darker color scheme when it goes to night time, which stops the unit from being blinding. Glad I choose the 6 inch over 7 inch because it does take up alot of windshield space. The mount is permenantly fixed to the unit so you have to unstick each time you want to take it down. I did prefer the mount coming off the unit it made it quicker/easier to take down and put back up.
Overall not bad TOMTOM. A little more heads up info on the live update and more visual information that you can set to the screen and unit would be a 5.

How do traffic updates on smartphone work?
I'm a bit confused about the traffic & smartphone. Why have a separate device if you have to use your phone anyway?
Some GPS units have traffic update service that is built into the unit and satellite service that is provided but some say the service is not that reliable. Traffic updated through your smartphone is usually through Google and a little more reliable as well as updated.

Does integrated mean that he battery cannot be removed and replaced?
Yes means it is more difficult to remove if you are technically savy. Some are solder in.

Is there an option where I can choose to avoid highways on my route?
Yes. There is an app for you to pre-plan route and send it to your device.

Traffic Updates
I don't have a smart phone. How do I get traffic updates?
You wouldn't be able to get traffic updates with this model. There are other models/brands that offer the traffic update service through an app built into the GPS unit and satellite service provided.

I'm fine with not having the traffic updates, but will my not having a smartphone effect my ability to get map updates?
No, you can get the map updates through your computer just download the TOMTOM home app to update your maps.

How many addresses/locations can you store in Favorites?
8GB internal with a microSD slot so quite a few.
