Verified Purchase:Yes
While Amazon has improved its OS it still needs help. I bought this for my wife who loves it but I would rather have nothing if this was my only option.

what are the pluses to having wi fi only device, Fire HD 8?

I have only had WiFi only devices besides my phone and since I have three kids and let them use it I don't have to worry about data charges especially if were to go over your data limit. Also, my wife asked me this simple question: Where do we go that you don't have WiFi available?
I thought about it and agreed with her question. Ask yourself when and where do you mostly use your devices?
