Nice upgrade to carpet cleaner

We purchased a Hoover Carpet cleaner a couple years ago and we only used it about 4 times and the trigger broke when we tried to use it this year. We had purchased the extended warranty which we don't usually do but I did after reading several problems people had with the older model. That led us back to the store to get the old one fixed. We found out that they don't fix them but you get a new one. We took this one home and tried it. It did a great job. I think it may work better than the last one. I didn't realize that you don't have to mix the cleaning solution so it took a few minutes to figure that out. It is a nice feature. The one thing that I had trouble remembering was to switch back and forth between solution and clear water. It is nice that you can rinse it with clear water.
So far it works well for us. We usually do our carpets a couple times a year and we have a small house but it id definitely cheaper than paying somebody to come in. I know that it is to be better to use a dry cleaning for your carpet but our carpets are dry in a short time. I don't put a lot of water on the carpets and the carpets have cleaned up nicely.

I am a real amateur with a camera. My last camera was a small camera with a 4X zoom on it. I wanted something that had more zoom and this had good reviews. It was also last year's model so it was inexpensive. I have been taking a lot of pictures of our new puppy and this gets shots I could not get with my previous cameras. I have played with a few shots of mountains and things but have not been out for extensive shots to this point. I like the fact that it is easy but it has a lot of features that I can learn to use.

History that you won't learn in school

I originally thought I would enjoy the scenery in this movie but the real value was the history lesson. When I was in school I did not like history and from what I had learned I now realize we do a horrible job of educating kids in history.
If you read a lot you realize that things you were taught in school are not what happened. This movie explains things that most teachers never will and history books won't include.
There will be people who say that is because the things in this are not real but I guarantee I have learned far more about our country since I am willing to listen and verify things.

For a background, we have a smart TV which I am not sure I would get again. We have a Roku and smart Blu-Ray players. I used the Chromecast from a Google tablet and it worked well for Netflix. It seems as though the apps may work great.
I did not try casting my browser from the tablet but I did try casting my Chrome browser from my laptop. There was a horrible lag. I was testing that because I don't have Hulu plus but use Hulu occasionally. That was a nightmare. I installed Chrome on my laptop specifically to test this. The interesting part is my laptop then had a lag while using other browsers that was not there previously. I uninstalled Chrome and the lag went away.
I want to use it when we go away and want to watch Netflix which I have not tested yet but it seems like it should work if the network is fast enough.
My preference at home is to use other devices but this is cheap and is worth trying. I like toys and this is another fun toy.

As I get older, I am enjoying history more. I had started learning about the Civil War and my interests grew. My father was in the 3rd Armored Division during WWII but he would not talk about it much but did talk when pressed when I was younger. Today I am glad I had spent the time talking to him because I lost him 15 years ago and I would have no information about him other than the little I could get from the government. I am finding that the few WWII veterans left seem to be talking more and I have a few who have told me interesting things. I doubted the scene where Patton was directing traffic but I was talking to a friend whose father was a tank commander and he recently told him about the crazy general directing traffic so his tanks could keep moving.
I had seen this at the movies when it first came out and had not seen it for years. My wife had never seen it so we picked up this movie so she could see it. She enjoyed it also.

What's great about it: It is historical but I am sure embellished
