We have primarily Apple products running on WiFi in our house. We switched from the latest model of the Apple Airport Extreme because it could not cover all parts of our house and using range extenders were a royal pain.
So, this is our replacement and let me tell you that I am going to get rid of the AE and the range extenders. Coverage is fantastic - reaching those places that once had NO signal. The signal is strong and FAST when connected on AC via 5 GHz.
Furthermore, Apple could learn a thing or two about the ease of set up from the AC3100. Asus nailed it on the ease of setup - I think it's actually easier than the AE. I was literally up and running in less than 2 minutes! I also love all the information (e.g. connected devices, usage etc.) that the Asus utility offers - unlike the AE which only offers the bare minimum information.
Highly recommended!

I got this printer on a sale and it was a great price. I highly recommend the printer (fast, clear and quality prints) except for one thing... the replacement toner is going to cost me more than twice the cost of the printer. Unfortunately, I need to print in color and inkjets are just not going to cut it for my usage. So either I pay an arm for ink cartridge or both an arm and a leg for the toner replacement. Either way I have to pay. There doesn't seem to much in the way of generic (cheaper) toner replacements at the current time, but that may change.
Here's a crazy idea - just buy a new printer each time the toner runs out. Yes, it's a crazy world and absolutely absurd that the economics of that idea may be a viable one.
So based on the price of replacement toner alone, this goes from a 5-star product to a 3-star product.

I have no interest in accessing any of my file on the cloud and use this as a big drive for all my computers around the house.
This is particularly useful in my case since all my computers (both laptops and desktops) are SSD based systems with a max capacity of only 250 gigbytes of storage. It is hooked up to a hardwired gigabit network and is fast enough for my usage. I can also access it via wifi, but still prefer the speed of the hardwired network.
There are lots of features that are easy to configure - my favorite is setting a schedule to shutdown and wake up the drives to save energy.
The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star product is that it does take some time wake it up if it has not been in use in awhile.

We have both Jasmine and Aladdin and while I think this a pretty cool character, my kids are not into the "old school" Disney characters. My kids are just not interested and rather use current characters such as Elsa, Phineas and Ferb etc.

What does OS Capability mean? It says its only capability is windows, but most of my products are Mac. Can someone please explain?
Routers are OS agnostic, so you can use with any OS you want.

Windows 10
We have two laptops, one with Win 7 Pro the other with Win 7 Home. If we upgrade to Win 10, Pro and Home, will this printer work with the upgrade. Thank you in advance.
Yes, it is working on both my Win 10 machines as well as my Macs.
If you are anything like me, you are not going to like how HP bundles a bunch of junk software in order for you to load the drivers. You can just get the drivers from the HP support site and avoid loading the "extras" that come on the CD that came with the printer.

Easy Setup Via Apple Time Capsule?
I was advised by staff at Best Buy that it was compatible with the Apple Time Capsule with no need to purchase other items, simply plug into the Time Capsule and the HD would be seen on the home network and easily accessible to both Windows PCs and Macs; however, this is what they told me I could do with a regular Apple Compatible External Hard Drive only for me to the the item home and be detected by my Mac, but NOT my PC then told by Tech Support that the store misinformed me. Before I lay down this kind of money, I need to know it will do what they claim it will do. Can anyone confirm?
I think they've got it mostly right.
One thing to consider is that the Time Capsule USB port is only 2.0 and it's slow. I have an Airport Extreme (latest model) and have a Seagate external drive attached to it to use as a Time Machine back up drive. It is slow and I often have to let it run overnight when it is doing its thing.
As for a PC seeing the drive attached to the Time Capsule, I can confirm that the PC will be able to see it and use it. However, Apple recommends that you dedicate the drive solely for Time Machine usage.
I think the WD MyCloud would be an overkill for you and you may be best just buying a regular external drive to use in conjunction with you Time Capsule. BTW, doesn't the Time Capsule already have a built-in HD?
