What can you say, it's another Star Wars movie

What did you expect? The story seems like a repeat of "A New Hope" (or should I say Akira Kurosowa's "The Hidden Fortress", 1958, where Lucas borrowed the original story) and the characters are two dimensional at best. And the new Sith Lord? I think he's going to make me actually wish Anakin was still around. Does emotional immaturity attract the Dark Side or visa versa?
But lets face it, we don't watch Star Wars for the well written story or the depth of the characters. We watch it for the special effects. This movie gets 5 out of 5 for that. What the characters are doing makes little or no sense, but boy, does it look great! I think I'll watch it again tonight!

Works well with my Sony UHDTV

I bought this receiver at the same time I purchased a Sony XBR75X850D UHDTV. The two work perfectly together with an HDMI cable with ADR support attached. The TV switches the AV unit on and off automatically and the TV remote also controls the AV unit without any extra reprogramming. The Sony Sync function works wonderfully.
The receiver itself is, well, a Sony. It does what a receiver is supposed to do and it does it well. The auto-calibration feature, with the supplied calibration microphone, is easy and I heard a definite improvement in the surround sound after calibration.

A cable that works

I thought I would save money and buy HDMI cables from Amazon. The Amazon description said they were fully compliant to all current UHDTV and 3D standards and provided ADR support. They were not. After 20 minutes of checking, rechecking, switching ports and scratching our heads, the Geek Squad pulled out a Rocketfish cable, plugged it in and the problem was solved. The Amazon cables went back for a refund.
The Rocketfish cables are more expensive, but they worked. 'Nuf said.

An Excellent UHDTV

The Sony XBR75X850D is an excellent UHDTV. The picture is clear and bright, no noticeable bright or dark spots, and the colors are vivid.
I had the Best Buy Geek Squad set it up to avoid any installation damage (which I believe is why some people have given bad reviews - take these big TVs out of the box the wrong way and you can cause damage leading to uneven brightness or dead lines - let an expert handle these expensive items!)
The Geek Squad did an excellent job and I strongly recommend them. I had them do the full install: They installed my tilting wall mount (purchased separately), run the cables through the wall (an additional cost that I felt justified), mounted the TV and connected it to the internet and to my AV receiver and Bluray player. When they left, my video room was completely set up and ready for movie night! The Geek Squad service seems expensive, but unless you or your helper (it takes AT LEAST 2 people to handle these large TVs) have up to date AV experience, I wouldn't advise you to try iy yourself.
I've had the set for just over a month and I am extremely pleased.

Most of the Monster surge protectors can be wall mounted. Can this one be mounted as well?
Yes, it has mounting holes on the back. I mounted mine to reduce the wasted space behind my cabinet - this unit is quite wide.

How to install internet piece
My modem plugs into my router so where does this plug in???
You plug the included Powerline Adapter into your power strip at the computer and run an Ethernet cable (not included) from the adapter to your router. The unit uses your home AC wiring to transmit the Ethernet data to and from the Monster. Run another Ethernet cable (also not included) from the Monster to the unit to be connected and your done!
