Marilyn Manson is relevant again. The Pale Emperor is a massive step forward after a few stale efforts. This album is heavy, dark, and angry, all while holding a new maturity that Manson has never had in his song writing. Lyrically, vocally, and musically, this is a near perfect album. Manson's voice has never sounded better; at times, he calls his inner-David Bowie, but it never sounds like he is trying to copy anyone. Rather, he's trying to be the best Manson he can be. Over 20 years after we came to know Marilyn Manson, he's somehow pulled off a masterpiece that just might be his best album ever. There's no filler and no cheap frills. From front to back, this is a phenomenal album and will go down as one of the year-s best.

Worth the price

I bought this because I'm always making grilled cheese sandwiches. I was complaining one day about always having to drag out the skillet & go through the steps of making a grilled cheese sandwich the way they were made for me. Toast the he bread, butter the bread, preheat the skillet, place bread with slice of cheese in the middle & put in skillet. After purchasing this sandwich toaster it takes me less than 5 minutes to make not 1 but 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. It's so easy & fast that I almost feel lazy using it everyday. My mom had a sandwich toaster like this so now I have one of my of my own.

Only the Coens!

This movie is a movie that could only come from the Coen brothers. It's histarical in a "I can't believe I just laughed at THAT?" kinda way. Some of the films more disturbing scenes are the funniest and that's what makes this film so great. So Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy) is hard up for cash, and he needs it quickly so he comes up with a scheme to hustle his father-in-law and his company (he works for his father-in-law...some used car dealership) out of a TON of cash. The only problem is that his scheme involves two dimwit thugs, Gaear Grimsrud (Peter Stomare) the silent deadly type & Carl Showalter (Steve Buscemi is his best role ever) the nerotic paranoid type, to kidnap his wife Jean (Kristin Rudrad) and hold her for ransom. Things only get sticky when a few people turn up dead because Gaear has a trigger finger and then we have pregnant cop Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand in a hilarious role) sticking her nose in to find the answers that lead back to Jerry. Hilarity ensues and it just keeps getting better and better. The whole scene where the thugs kidnap Jean is worth the price of the film right there. With oscar worthy performances and a script tighter than most...this is a film that stands out as perfect. Loved every minute of it.

One Great Vietnam Movie

Oliver Stone's "Platoon" is one of the best and most powerful of all war pictures. It is the best movie ever made about the Vietnam war. Stone's film is gritty, frighteningly realistic and incredibly powerful. Stone doesn't just show us the Vietnam war, he takes into the Vietnam war. The screenplay is brilliant and doesn't fall into the trap that other war films fall into, where the violence turns into a fun experience and fighting seems "cool." This is a movie that truly shows the horrors of war realistically and with great effect. The cinematography by Robert Richardson (JFK, Natural Born Killers) is rich and gritty, giving more feeling to already great material. The characters are believable and convincing. It's great work because Stone himself went to Vietnam, so he has a better idea of what happened than Francis Ford Coppola when he made "Apocalypse Now" (which is also a great movie). "Platoon" is mesmerizing, powerful, effective, disturbing and even philosophical. It is one of Stone's greatest works. He ignites the screen with passion. The music is incredibly moving. No other director has made better films about Vietnam than Stone, who's "Born On The Fourth Of July" and "Heaven And Earth" followed "Platoon," and opened our eyes to greater clarity. I was never less than spellbound by this work. "Platoon" vibrates with realism and energy. A very special motion picture

I got this simply as a blu-ray player to use with my 1080p non-smart HDTV, and to my surprise, this unit has the entire Samsung Smart TV capability (aka. Smart Hub) built into it which instantly turned my old dumb TV into a very smart TV!!! Also, I have checked, it actually turns out to be cheaper to get a standard LED TV and add this than getting a full fledged Smart TV.

New arc in the Transformer series

I thought I would miss some of the other stars like Josh Duhmal and Tyrese as they were great in the first ones... I think it is one of the better ones of the Transformer series. The direction they went was a good one as I feel that they had stretched out Sam Witwiky (don't think I spelled it right) storyline and without the original cast branching into a new story are was a good way to go. Okaaaayyyy so some of the action scenes were a little unrealistic no matter how in shape you are but it's great and fun action.
