I bought this to use as supplemental storage in my Surface Pro 4. While it works beautifully copying content to my Surface Pro, it is painfully slow when I try to copy stuff from the Surface Pro to the card. I should have held out for the Samsung, as it has much better performance, but I needed something immediately and this was in stock. I will probably replace it with the Samsung eventually because of the performance bottleneck.

This is a somewhat frustrating device to setup and get working correctly. Some of the simplest things are a little more difficult to find the settings to get them configured. Since it is an advertised feature, I would expect text message, phone call notifications to show up automatically.
Sadly that is not the case, you actually have to enable this feature in the app, then on the mobile device, and finally ensure the fitness tracker is also enabled for it. This should have been seamless, and self configuring in the initial setup process. I dropped two stars for this and the battery indicator not being default settings or easy to find.

I really wanted to like this. It was very difficult to just get up and running, as it REQUIRES you and the Chromecast to be on the same wireless network. It is NOT possible to just connect directly to the device and configure it for streaming.
Once actually configured, performance was miserable. I could not get anything with video to stream smoothly, everything was "choppy". To make a bad thing worse, most of the time the audio was out of sync with the video, maybe this was due to the choppy nature of the connection.
As I don't have these issues with streaming to my Roku or Amazon devices, I think it must be the Chromecast device itself.

In theory this is an awesome product, however in reality, it needs some work. There are too few buttons on this to make it useful if you have more than 2 or "maybe" 3 devices. I had hoped to use it to control my cable box, television, receiver, and dvd player so that I didn't have to keep all the remotes in front of me for basice actions (FF/RW/VolUP/VolDOWN/input/etc). Sadly there just aren't enough buttons to program for what I need.

It only gets four stars because Apple is finally getting back to a reasonable capacity iPod. Unfortunately, it has too many capabilities built in that are unnecessary for me needs. Effectively you end up paying for all the technologies and capabilities of the iPod Touch, whether you need them or not. What I want is a plain music player that has as much storage capacity as possible for my music, and this is the largest Apple makes at 128gb. The cost however, is unreasonable, but they seem to have the market cornered and can demand a premium as there are no viable competitors to choose from.

I had this installed in my wife's 2013 VW Beetle, and it has been phenomenal. In theory it is a simple plug and play unit, disconnect a few wires from the car, plug them into this, plug this into the car. In reality, the wires were so difficult to reach in the confines of the beetle that the installer took almost 7 hours to get it right because he could not reach all the connectors easily. By contrast I had a similar product installed in my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe and it required splicing wires into the car, trying to trace wires to find the correct lines to connect to, an overall has been nothing but trouble. I wish there was a plug and play solution like this for my car, it works so much better.

I've used a Braun Series 5 razor for over a decade, and it is fantastic. I have been drooling over the upgrade to the Series 7 for a few years now, but could never justify the cost. When I found it on sale for only slightly more than a new Series 5, I had to go for it. Now it has been a few months, and I have to say that the shave is nowhere near as close as the Series 5 and definitely is not good enough to justify the substantial cost increase, unless you can find it on sale.

I am an amateur photographer and exclusively use Nikon equipment for my needs. However, Nikon's point and shoot style cameras just don't hold up like Canon's. I bought this to replace a 4 year old Canon that was still working and taking great pictures. The only reason I replaced it was because it was dropped one time too many and the display shattered. With a broken display and noviewfinder, it was VERY difficult to get the shot framed properly ... LOL
This takes even better photos and seems to be very well built. I would HIGHLY recommend it if you are in the market for a point and shoot camera.

how long does it last by using it for like movies or surfing the web? how hot does it get and are the fans loud? can i put a skins on the glass back or no? please answer these 3 questions
It's horrible, I only get about 3.5 hours out of it, no matter if I'm watching movies or simply browsing the web. It does not get hot, and the fans are super quiet. I don't know if skins will work with the glass back or not, but I don't see any reason that they should not work.

How is this laptop with photo editing software? Specifically Lightroom 6 and Photoshop elements/premier.
I can't speak to either of those software packages, but I can say that Luminar does not seem to run any quicker on this system than it does on my Core i5 Surface Pro 4 with 4GB ram. I would not expect too much out of performance on this system. One other issue, if you need to copy photos onto this laptop from an SD card, you will need an external reader for it too.

No, this will not work with SmartMedia cards, as there is no compatible slot for them.
