Very good product and value

MS Office 365 for one computer plus one device for one year is a good value. I paid $69 for one year that gives you all updates automatically plus 20 GB of OneDrive storage for a year. Having the full Office Suite and 20 GB of OneDrive storage for $69 is a great value to me. I'm using OneDrive between my desktop Windows 8 computer, my Asus T100 "tablet" and my WP8 Nokia Lumia 920 phone. The phone, of course, has MS Office on it to begin with (phone version) so I put Office on my desktop and T100 tablet. It all works great, and I feel I'm getting my $69 worth for a year. Of course you can go $99 for the same thing each year only for up to 5 devices.

The USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter gives you the ability to add a Gigabit Ethernet port to your laptop or MacBook though a single USB 3.0 Type-A port, supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and is fully compatible with IEEE 802.3/az/u/ab/x standards. This ethernet adapter provides full gigabit bandwidth and offers backward compatibility with USB 2.0. It also supports features such as IPv4/IPv6/TCP/UDP packet Checksum Offload Engine (COE) and TCP Large Send Offload to reduce the load on your CPU. Jumbo Frames, full-duplex operation, VLAN tagging and 2 VLAN ID filtering are also supported, making this an ideal replacement LAN adapter or laptop accessory in areas without Wi-Fi or if you just want to increase your Internet speed.

I bought the USB 3 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter to have in case I needed a hard internet connection...Wi-Fi is not always available. It's compact so taking it with you is simple and requires no space that you would notice. I've used it once and it worked very well. I keep it in my travel case for my Asus T100.

You can't find a more useful device for the money

I have the 64 GB T100 and it is so useful for personal, business or student use. It's very portable and having the option of using it just as a tablet or connecting it to the "dock" so that it acts just like a laptop is great. It handles regular office chores with aplomb as well as reading, video viewing etc. In terms of normal use I've not had it bog down or "misfire" in any way. I've heard of guys running VM's on it and doing other pretty intensive stuff. I can't verify that sort of use, but the way mine runs I'd be inclined to believe it. If you want a relatively inexpensive device that can handle anything the majority of people would use it for, the T100 is definitely worth looking at!

What's great about it: FAST processor, USB 3, very portable, full Windows 8.1, great battery life!
What's not so great: Sound is OK but I would like more volume available. An LTE option would be nice.

Take this 11.6-inch Acer Chromebook anywhere you need to go thanks to its compact size and light weight. With its Intel Celeron N3060 dual core processor, you can enjoy fast Internet browsing and computing. The high visibility of the HD touch screen display with LED backlighting lets you use this Acer Chromebook in almost any lighting conditions.

Is this a good computer for someone who is going to college?

See my review on the Acer R11. It is a good little 2-in-1, but I would recommend you check with your college to see exactly what type of software they require you to be able to run from your personal device. If nothing is required to be downloaded onto your device, and it's all web based, you're good. Note that in a month or two the Acer R11 will receive full Android functionality so that you may have the Google Play Store on your R11 with access to all Android apps on your R11. Even then, if your college requires your device to be able to run Mac or Windows software, you're only choice with the R11 will be remoteing into a Windows or Mac computer to run the software for you.

Can mine craft be downloaded on this Laptop?

As soon as the Play Store is available to the Acer R11 in the next month or two, you will be able to run all Android apps natively including Minecraft (the Android version anyway).

The previous models used the Intel N3150 quad-core processor, this model says Intel N3060 which is dual core but newer. Would I notice the difference with this newer model doing various tasks versus the older model with the quad-core?

From what I have read about this very topic, I doubt you would notice any difference at all. In fact, some benchmark tests show the dual core outpacing the quad core in some uses while being more evenly matched in others.

Can This Laptop be good for kids?

Yes. It's operation is simple, but does require internet connectivity to use it to its full potential. Of course, Chrome OS offers parental controls. With the Acer R11 being able to run all Android apps natively in the Chrome OS within the next month or two, this will allow a great leap forward in functionality as well.

Is this a good computer for someone who is going to college?

See my review of the Acer R11. In short, it depends. Chromebooks cannot run Mac or Windows software natively. Many schools require you to be able to use certain software of this type. You can remote in to a Mac or Windows computer from your Chromebook depending on your circumstances. With Google adding the ability of running all Android apps on the Acer R11 in the next month of so, Chromebook functionality will take a giant leap forward. Even then, it will depend on what your school will require your device to run. Best thing is to check with your school to see exactly what software you will be expected to run from your personal device.

Can you print from this chromebook

Yes, if your printer supports Google Print. This is true of all Chromebooks, and for that matter, Android devices.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Tablet: The new Surface Pro 3 is in a category of its own. With a stunning 12" display in a sleek magnesium frame, Surface Pro 3 has all the power and performance of a laptop in an incredibly lightweight, versatile form. It may just be the ultimate device.

Which Xbox system is compatible with the Surface Pro 3?

I've watched several YouTube videos where people are using Xbox 360 controllers, but I've noticed both 360 and Xbox One games being played. So, are both Xbox systems compatible with the Surface Pro 3? I'm wanting to stick with 360 games, so this is a big factor for me.

Thanks.
I don't have one, but I know you can use a 360 wireless controller with the SP3.

what are the specs for integrated graphics?

what type of integrated graphics does the surface 3 have?
The i5 SP3 uses Intel 4400 onboard, the i3 I believe uses a 4200 and the i7, I think, uses a 4600 - I could be wrong on that last one, but it does use a little stronger graphics set up than the i5

Why do I need an xbox music subscription? I do not use xbox

No, you don't have to have an Xbox subscription. I use the Xbox player on my SP3 but I don't have a subscription either.
