Great extra to have

Wired charging is faster than wireless and you have freedom to use while charging, but wireless charging is safer. No accidental pulls, which I'm really guilty of. This product in particular works best with Samsung phones, much faster; but is compatible with other Android phones that support wireless charging, just a bit slower compared to Samsung phones. The design is pretty simple and modern, there is a circle rubber like material at the center to prevent your phone from slipping. It can be angled a bit before the phone is in danger of slipping. So if you need your phone to stand, you are better of getting the newer version. The white version gets dirty fast, but the black version is a finger print magnet (that is for both the old and new version).

Great Pen, but missing something

This is one great Pen to use. The build is sturdy and really feels premium. The tip can be replaced and switched with other tip sizes so it is great for different types of drawing/writing and can last longer. Easy to replace battery is a good thing, but the battery is a AAAA so it's expensive. The higher pressure sensibility can only be used on the pro 4 however, so you will still be using the pressire sensitivity your surface uses. But it is 100% compatible with the Surface 3 and Pro 3. Tested this on my Surface 3 and my friend's Surface pro 3 and pro 4.
This version of the pen has a magnet built in, so it sticks to other things other than Surface; makes it harder or easier to loose depending on the person. My only gripe is that is that it could use some better grip, slides from my hands quite easily.

Almost the perfect laptop/tablet hybrid

I've been using the Surface 3 for almost a month now, and I must say that Microsoft has released some pretty good piece of tech right here. From the perspective of a college student, this tablet/laptop hybrid can do most of what you need. The ability to write notes using the Surface Pen is also a huge help ( sucks that it's not included). Just can't do some heavy programming and high res video editing.
For the artist in you, this is a good drawing tablet as well. Just don't expect a lot out of it, since the Surface 3 isn't packing some powerful hardware. Front facing speakers means that sound is being directed at you instead of beside you. The high resolution screen is great for content consumption, colors are beautiful and vibrant, mine was a bit on the cooler side though, but can be fixed with some setting adjustment. The build feels like a premium device, feels like it could take a beating and still be kicking like new. Battery life is a solid 6-10 hours depending on usage.

Screen is glossy, so outdoor use without a protector that could negate some of that glossyness is hard. Resolution isn't a 16:9, so it could be a problem for some. The processor is an Intel Atom processor; so it's a bit lacking in terms of power; but power saving is great. The m3 would have been a better choice though. The kickstand could have used another adjustment lower. Would have made it feel more drafting board like. And of course the common complaint that others all have, the typecover and pen are all sold separately.

I have read that windows 10 already has Cortana assistance. is that right for this model meaning that this tablet has Cortana? Thanks
Cortana is built into Windows 10. So basically any Windows computer that runs Windows 10 has Cortana.

is the installed version of Windows 10 64 bit or 32 bit?
It runs the 64 bit version of windows.
