***Spoiler Alert***Read at your own risk***This movie introduces the Teen Titans to the DC Animated Universe based on the New 52 DC storyline. Despite the title, there are not as many action scenes involving the Justice League versus the Teen Titans as one might have expected. In fact, the summary mentions a showdown pitting the Justice League "against the likes of Beast Boy, Starfire, Blue Beetle and Nightwing," but Nightwing is not involved in the actual fighting (Robin is, of course--it could have been a typo). Still, the story itself is a good one, and the interactions between Damien Wayne (Robin) and the Teen Titans is interesting, even if ultimately predictable.
This release contains Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Borders installments 3 & 4 of the popular futuristic anime film series that follows the exploits of Motoko Kusanagi a spy who uses advanced infiltration tactics in order to neutralize her enemies.
These last two episodes in the latest series in the Ghost in the Shell franchise are just as good as, if not better than, the first two episodes. You can tell, however, that the series is set up for another installment, in order to bring--spoiler alert--the Firestarter storyline to a conclusion.
This is another series in the Ghost in the Shell franchise, and it's a reboot in the sense that it tells the origin of Major Motoko Kusanagi and her elite team of former soldiers, intelligence operatives, assassins, and officers. The stories in these first two episodes may be difficult to follow at times, but the characters and their interactions remain interesting. There's plenty of action for those who prefer that, too.
