The interchangeable bands were nice, as well as the option to just carry it in your pocket without wearing it on your wrist. Although that would negate the continuous heart rate feature. He has enjoyed the gift so far.

I've heard of the wonders of the Vitamix, and it did not disappoint. I use it mainly for smoothies, and they come out much smoother than our Cuisinart blender or the Magic Bullet. I've put in whole flax seeds, and it doesn't always get them all, but they are small and like to stick to the sides of the blender cup like barnacles, so the Vitamix gets a pass for that. But the texture that blends up is never gritty. I don't feel like I'm chewing my smoothies anymore. I've yet to try it with leafy greens like kale, but I imagine it'll do just as well. Highly recommend.

The first week I received my crock pot I used it 3 times! So it definitely functions well cooking. What I like and sort of don't like is the lift up lid. It's great because as one reviewer said, they took it to a party and everyone was looking for a place to put their crock pot lids, but hers just lifted up. In that respect I really like it. My problem is I have low upper cabinets, so the lid doesn't quite lift up all the way underneath them, so I have to hold it up while I stir or try to plate the food. That's the only real bummer. The lid does in fact remove pretty easily, so I have removed the lid to plate the food. All in all, a minor issue, and found this Hamilton Beach crock pot to be better priced than the Crock Pot brand for the size I wanted.
