Bought this laptop to replace an aging Macbook. The construction is solid, with a strong but light aluminum body. Despite the metal body, the laptop is relatively light. There are lighter machines out there, but this is fine.
I quickly installed Ubuntu with no issues. The machine now dual-boots into Linux or Win10. And,..with the SSD drive the boot process is very fast.
The one thing I don't love is the keyboard. The layout is a bit clunky and the keys not quite as responsive as I'd like. That said, I've gotten used to it and would recommend this laptop as likely the best sub-$1,000 15" laptop on the market right now.
