Amazing bang for your buck

I had done a bit of research on TV models, and had decided on an LG. I wanted to go into the store to make sure I liked the picture. The LG was sitting next to this one, and I like this one a bit better. Saw that it was priced lower, and had the same features I was looking for.
I did some quick review searching online and didn't see any red flag reviews, so I decided to buy it.
I've been using it for about 3 weeks now, and it is a very good TV. The only slight issue that I have is the lack of native apps for other services that I use (hulu, HBO) but using netflix is really nice when controlling it with a real remote control, and I can use my phone for the other apps.
That one minor inconvenience wouldn't cause me to not recommend the TV to anyone. It's still awesome overall, and has a lovely number on its pricetag.

I went into Best Buy on a whim to see what was available in terms of cell phone holders for my car.. I wanted something simple, but not going to be a piece of _____ that will break after 5 uses.
This fit the bill. It uses a really powerful magnet piece that fits underneath your case, which holds it in place. I was a little worried, but it works extremely well. Has enough hold so that it doesn't move, but not too much that its at all difficult to remove the phone when you're getting out of the car. The unit connects to the car with a sticky pad. I have not had any issues with thatt either. I'm very happy with this impulse purchase.

Fits my personal needs perfectly

I purchased a shredder for personal use - getting rid of bank statements, credit card offers with too much info on it etc.
I really wanted one which would cross-cut, but I didn't want to spend a TON of extra money on it. This shredder fit the bill perfectly. It's really great that it can cut through staples, so you don't need to worry about checking everything you shred. I was actually surprised at how often I use the credit card cutting feature. it's a lot easier that cutting with scissors.
I haven't had any jams or issues with it. I think it's great, especially for the price. I'm sure that there are others with more features (like the ability to destroy CD...but who uses those anymore?) but it seemed silly to pay for something that would only be a bragging right for me.
If someone stole it today, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

What HDMI input would I connect a cable box to for best picture?
The input number doesn't have anything to do with picture quality - they all operate the same.
They are numbered so that you can select them on the TV (So, just remember which number you plugged it into so you can select it later, and you'll be fine)

Overheating
Is there a feature for overheating protection?
Yeah. There's a red light that turns on when it overheats and stops working until it cools off.
I've never run into it before, and I don't think most personal users will have an issue with it.
