One of the best phones on the market

I bought this Galaxy S8+ to replace my aging Android phone. After doing some research, I felt that this was the best choice. Naturally, there are a lot of options for cell phones from Apple, Motorola, LG and so on. I have to admit, I've always stayed away from Samsung because of the "home button" and the other keys (which are swapped in position on other phones). When they converted to a on screen buttons, I took another look at Samsung, and I have to admit, I don't know why I haven't chosen Samsung before.
Just like other top-tier phones, Samsung build quality is excellent. It doesn't feel "cheap". There's enough "weight" on the phone to give it a premium feel. The curved glass accenting a curved back makes the phone feel reminiscent of a polished pebble. However, because of the curved nature, weight, and slickness of the design, I highly recommend a case. This phone is slippery. You can't help thinking this will slide from your hands onto the ground at just the right moment.
Other reviews have complained that the fingerprint sensor is just in the wrong spot. Sometimes I feel like I agree, other times I don't. You most always will pass your finger over the camera to get to the fingerprint reader if your right handed. There's just no way around it. If your an avid camera user, you should wipe the camera before using it, because you most likely smudge it at one point if you use the fingerprint reader. You'll also mistake the camera for the fingerprint reader because there aren't any markings or indentations so you can feel the different between the two. This is where the case comes in. When you have a case, the camera area cut out will help you find the reader. You'll probably still smudge the camera along the way, but it does make things easier. I haven't tried a lot of cases, but based on the case I do have, I would believe this to be true will almost all of cases on the market.
The phone shape is different than others. It's "tall and skinny" compared to other phones. I thought this would bother me, but I found that it wasn't as bad as I thought. It reminds me of when Apple took the iPhone 4 and "stretched" it making the iPhone 5. It's "long", but doesn't feel like a ruler. You could almost say it's just right. Viewing videos horizontally has black bars on both sides, but there's an option to stretch the video so it fits (although it cuts off the top and bottom a little). I'm fine watching the videos with the black borders. The borders feel like I have a little space for my fingers to hold the phone properly without blocking the video that i'm watching.
Performance is snappy. It's been a while since my phone ran this fast or smooth. Apps launch almost instantly. Calls seem clearer than my old phone, although I would attribute this more to my carrier than on my old phone.
Long story short, I can't complain. I could of went with another phone, like the new iPhone. But at about $100 less, and more flexibility with Android, this phone seemed like the perfect choice.

A key component to starting a Smart Home system is somehow getting the devices to work together. The Echo Dot is the most affordable and convenient way to control devices such as your smart thermostat and light together. By enabling different "skills" on the Dot, you can simply tell the Dot the increase the temperature or turn on your lights. Aside from controlling your smart devices, you can listen to music and order from Amazon. There is a lot this little device can do. I have bought 4 and placed them in key rooms in my house so that I can "talk" to the Alexa interface no matter where I am in my home.

4K Capable Media Player with some caveats

This is a very capable player. It is comparable to the Roku 4 or AppleTV. There are a few caveats though. The device works best if you have Amazon account, preferably an Amazon Prime account. It allows you to access the Amazon Video library, download apps, and use Alexa voice search. Unfortunately, there is an additional annual fee for the service. There is a free option, but it limits the ability of the device. The device also lacks true YouTube support. You're redirected to a website like interface to view videos. With YouTube beginning to roll out 4K content, it makes you wonder why this device doesn't have a dedicated YouTube app to showcase the 4K ability. If you have an Amazon Prime account, this device works very well. Otherwise, I would recommend doing some research, such as looking at the Roku 4, which has a more well-rounded set of features.

Amazon Alexa features at an Affordable Price

I originally bought one because it was on sale during the holidays. After integrating it into my home such as using it the thermostat, I slowly realized that I could control the lights, TV, and so much more. I then bought three more and placed them around the house for convenience. In comparing the Echo Dot to it's larger and more expensive siblings, I found that the Echo Dot is just what I need. If I would like a more robust sound experience, I simply plug in or use Bluetooth capable speakers. In fact, I paired one of my Echo Dots with my surround sound entertainment system, and I have to admit that doing so probably gave a better musical experience than the other Amazon speakers alone. In contrast, the Echo Dot probably will not provide the full music experience as you would expect from the other Amazon devices. I think a little research about the product before buying will help to see how you can use this fantastic device in your home.

This phone is a good phone for its price (at the time). But be prepared for a little disappointment as this is not a high-end phone. Not to be confused with something like the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy phones, appearance and build are above average, if not excellent. It feels good in the hand and the weight makes it feels well built. It has a feature that most common phones don't have, which is a Dual SIM slot. This means that you can use two SIM cards at the same time. This is useful if you travel, having your US SIM (AT&T or T-Mobile) and that of another country. Aside from the usual Android features, there are some sacrifices. This phone does NOT have NFC. If you're a fan of Android Pay, this may be a deal breaker. Also, the Dual SIM ability has a trade-off, in which one of the SIM slots is also the MicroSD card slot. While you can use this on a business trip to keep in touch with home and the office, you sacrifice space for pictures or other media (and vice versa). While the phone has some positive points, it does have some negatives. My advice is to do some research to decide if this phone fits your needs. Otherwise, it's a nice phone.

This is a great watch. Build quality is excellent and the square face distinguishes it differently from other smart watches. However, I thought it is missing some features. Pedometer or step tracker seems to be missing. Also, Bluetooth connectivity seems to be selective. I use it with different phones (OnePlus 2, iPhone 5, Asus Zenphone). Some features seem to be available on one phone, but not the other. I think this may be an Android Wear Software thing. It's my first smart watch, so I'm still learning. I would like that the watch is more "universal" across different phones. My only advice is to do some research about your phone and a smart watch and see if they work together as expected. Not all phones and watches are created equal I suppose.

I bought this game for the PS4. I'm blown away with the dynamic between the machine and the character (a la Gundam). One thing that's different from the first game (which I also own for the XBox One) is the story mode. The problem with the original is that the game had to be played in an online match environment. That's not necessarily a bad thing except the game just felt like one match after another, with the "story" playing in the background. I couldn't connect with the character or figure out the story. This was changed in this game because there's a full story mode. I can connect with the story, figure out why things are happening, and so on. Of course, there's an online match mode, which is similar to the first game and similar games. Not much to say about that. All in all, I love the game. If you want a first person shooter with a twist, this is the game for you.

There's nothing much to say about this product. It's a charger for your car's cigarette lighter outlet. A few notable options is that it's a med-fast charger (2 Amps in case your wondering). Because it has two ports, it can charge two devices equally (similar devices sometimes charge the second device slower). In my opinion, it's a little big. I think they could have made it a little smaller so that it can be somewhat flush with my cars dashboard. Otherwise, it's above average and useful if you have a passenger who also needs to charge their device.

Im impressed with this amplifier. It seems to have everything such as WiFi, streaming services, lots of HDMI ports. I think the only problem I have with this receiver is that I can't effectively access the menu. In my case, my amplifier and TV are somewhat far from each other. I use the optical out on the TV to send sound to the receiver. I think there are other features that this receiver has, but in order to fiddle with them, I need to somehow connect the receiver to the TV. Otherwise, the sound and out-of-the-box settings seems to serve my purpose.
