Great for kids, family members, the science lovers, and anyone interested in the hidden aspects of our world all around us. Does the auto document feeder work for copying ?
On one description I read it only referred to scanning and faxing when it talked about the document feeder. I just wanted to make sure that it would also automatically feed a stack of pages that I needed to copy.
Yes it will. With any multi-page job on any printer, copier, scanner, just be sure to "fan" the pages in the feeder for proper feeds and reduction in paper jams.

Printing pdf from thumb drive
The printer doesn't seem to recognize pdfs on my thumb drive when inserted and I want to print. It only shows tifs and jpg. Will it recognize pdfs?
I don't believe you'll be able to print using the thumb drive. Now, if you converted the PDF's to a graphics format, such as jpg, then you should have no problem printing them.
If you're using a Mac, simple open the PDF in Preview and export in the needed format, save, and you're in business.

How can I print pictures out that are stored on my computer?
This new printer is above my head & I have had no luck in getting the pictures to print when I hit the print button. I don't have a problem setting up the picture for printing, just can't figure out how to get it to print.
I haven't had that need, but I'd suggest you call the support line. Epson has great Customer Service support.

Is a dedicated fax line required for faxing, or will it work if faxing is on a shared voice line?
Yes, it will work on a standard line. That's what I use.
