The firsts spin-off of CBS' successful crime investigation series CSI shifted the setting to Miami, and marked the return of former NYPD Blue leading man David Caruso to the small screen. This seven-disc set contains each of CSI Miami's 25 first-season episodes. Each is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while Spanish soundtracks have been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. Commentary by people involved in the show is provided on four of the episodes, and five behind-the-scenes featurettes reveal information about how the series came to be, how the special effects employed in the show are accomplished, and offer a virtual tour of some of the sets. This is a solid release from Paramount.
