Underrated camcorder!

I tried the Sony a6300 for 4K video. I tried a Canon HD "prosumer" camera for the heck of it. Luckily I stumbled across this little wonder. The Panasonic has stunning 4K video quality. I read a professional review of the camera and they were lukewarm. I find the Panasonic has nearly identical video quality to my old GH-4. This camcorder has far less "jello" effect when panning. Except for lowlight situations, the Panasonic really excels. A winner!

Fuzzy HD Video Quality

I make both short films and event videos. My six year-old Canon HD camcorder was getting long-in-the-tooth, so I needed to upgrade to a camcorder with similar but better specs.
Sadly, this model simply does not hold up well with image quality. I've worked with much older Canon camcorders from the early days of prosumer HD and they had a much better picture.
The video on this model is muddled and frankly un-HD. I've used 4K camcorders recently and they smoke this model's image quality by far.
The one nice element I liked was the zoom ring. Many of today's camcorders don't have this element. Everything is mostly touchscreen which is difficult for me coming from the days of manual focus and zoom.
This is not a terrible camcorder by any means, but with 4K at similar and lower pricing, that's the ticket.
