Do I need a transformer to charge my Kindle in a country with 220 volt current?
My aging eyes think that the model number of my Kindle is D01100; it says Input 5.25V Max 500mA on the back but does not say 120/220 like my other devices do. Will I fry it if I plug it into the wall without a transformer to recharge it in Peru?
Thanks!
you need a charger rated for 220v input and 5.25v output. I wouldn't try the 110v charger. The kindle wouldn't specify this, you need to find the voltage rating on the charger itself.
