How complicated is the wireless set up?
I recently bought a Canon printer and the setup was horrible. There was no screen and it was never able to connect to my wifi and looked up numerous tutorials online but none could help my flashing light problem. SO will I have that much trouble with this setup as well?
Like most current HP printers, the wireless is easy to set up. The software will either prompt you to let HP do all the work or you can use the printer's touch screen to use the Wireless Wizard.

What is the advantage of a PC over a Mac?
I am interested in upgrading my desktop computer. However, I am not sure if I want a PC or a Mac. Also, I am a home user who has Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. Will that suite of applications work on a new Dell Computer?
Microsoft Office 2007 will work just find with all operating systems. I believe the 2007 Home and Student edition had a 3 user maximum. And...you won't be able to use that version on a Mac.
The difference between Mac and PC is totally personal.
I do find the Mac to have faster startup and connect times, as well as being very well built. There are things it will not let you do, period, but for the average user doing the average things, it's a good choice.
The PC is more vulnerable but more forgiving. If you are adventurous, stick with the PC. Windows may warn you when entering iffy territory but it will not prevent you from going there.

Can you spli your viewing screen.
I'm wondering if you can run more than one function simultaneously; have email open on one side, and Internet as other half for example?
That's more of an operating system function. But to answer your question...yes. Just size down the screen (not maximized or minimized) and click and drag the title bar (top of the page) to the left or right until it "snaps" into place. Do the same with the other program by heading in the other direction. Now you have two programs running side by side.

How can I print 4x6 pictures?
I have pictures on email that I want to print and I cannot get the paper slot correct.
Proper photo printing has as much to do with the program you use to print those pictures as it does with the printer. For the printer, be sure to remove your standard paper and gently move the grey size adjusters toward the center until it just snugs up to the photo paper. Feed it in portrait (like your regular paper), not landscape.
